Collaboration has been a huge driver for our work in Education. We found we were being challenged with the same issues experienced with different Trusts and Schools. This was usually funding or building-related but did stray into communication with LST, processes and driving the built environment agenda with educationalists. Our workshop last year was intense, set up with some of the leading trusts in Yorkshire to provide a knowledgeable sounding board for discussions. We have been working with Bolam Developments for a couple of years now, they build fantastic one-off new building houses across Yorkshire. We have been supporting them with their CDM and H&S duties, allowing their small team to progress safely and ensuring all their procedures/ notifications are in place. Throwback Thursday! 🤾♂️ Handed over in 2022, Hydramotion in Malton was a challenging project including the refurbishment of existing units and the glazed link building to form their impressive HQ. The "campus" style of the development with with high-end precision engineering they do inside gives their HQ a tech giant feel whilst grounded in the local economy. Gravica designed the complex link and refurbishment, Gate & Bar Ltd. provided Quantity Surveyor, Principal Designer & Project Management Services.

Transformation Tuesday! DONALDSON'S VETS LIMITED Penistone completed just before Christmas and what a transformation! From a vacant dilapidated barn to a modern vets practice. By no means an easy project and the Grade II Listed barn had a few surprises along the way. Gate & Bar Ltd. provided Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Principal Designer and Heritage Consultancy Services. This project was a great way for Gate & Bar to enter the veterinary world and understand all its nuances with none other than "The Yorkshire Vet", and take the learnings onto the next one. And that's a wrap! We celebrated the end of another fantastic year, our fourth year in business, one of the most challenging and rewarding to date. We celebrated with our team, plus a couple of other great independent businesses we have worked with this year, Michael Law and Christopher Cook. As a reaction to the increased need for Fire Door awareness form our clients, Joey Wilmore has been undertaking further training through the Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) and today he passed his final exam for the Fire Door Diploma.
