About us

Gamechanger are an award-winning interactive and blended learning platform that set out to tackle the UK's biggest social issues. Gamechanger combines cutting-edge immersive digital experiences, including virtual reality, with traditional drama-based workshops and experiential learning using Gamechanger Challenges targeted for behaviour change. Gamechanger CCE programmes: 1) IMPACT - Interactive drama-based workshops | Gamechanger | gamechanger.org.uk INTERACTIVE DRAMA-BASED WORKSHOPS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE Our IMPACT programme is designed for early intervention. It has been developed to raise awareness of key social issues facing young people in the UK today and has been delivered successfully for over 2 years. - IMPACT is a half-day session designed to raise awareness, inform and build emotional resilience through experiential learning. The session includes a drama production, interactive workshop and physical gamechanger challenges. - It is suitable for up to 100 young people (KS2/Yr 6+) per session. - IMPACT is one of our most popular schools programmes and has also been successfully used to deliver informational sessions to parents and professionals. 2) INTERVENTION - Gamechanger educational and technological Our INTERVENTION Programme is for people identified as at risk of exploitation and is detailed below: TARGETED BLENDED LEARNING COURSES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE - Suitable for young people aged KS3/11+yrs - Ideal for smaller groups (around 10 young people) of targeted learners identified as potentially at risk - 6-week blended learning programme; 6 sessions at 90 minutes each - Combines cutting edge digital experiences like VR, online interactive resources and facilitator-led Gamechanger challenges - Complies with Department of Education’s Statutory Guidance on Keeping Children safe In 2024 developing further programmes around: - Knife Crime - Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) - Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) - Online Safety - Anti-social behaviour

After winning the award, Gamechanger MD, Jessica Wright said:    “Gamechanger is an outstanding collaborative partnership originally formed with the objective of using technological innovation to reduce the risks of CCE involvement for young people. Five years after initial discussions, we have an incredible piece of integrated VR, and are developing blended learning programmes for many other social issues affecting young people, including – but not limited to – Knife Crime, Child Sexual Exploitation, Online Safety and Bullying, Anti-social Behaviour and Violence Against Women and Girls. Winning this award was a huge endorsement of all the hard work that has gone into this project”

    The Children and Young People Now Awards 2024 The Digital Innovation Award Winners: Gamechanger The night of Thursday 28th November 2024 proved to be both a memorable and successful one for the Gamechanger team who attended the prestigious Children and Young People Now Awards at a ceremony in Hammersmith, London. We were delighted to have been shortlisted in both the Digital Innovation and Safeguarding categories for our ground-breaking blended learning programmes delivered for schools and youth services across the UK. Gamechanger uses interactive resources and experiences to raise awareness of major social issues for children and young people. It combines virtual reality technology with engaging drama and activity-based workshops focusing on themes such as county lines drug trafficking and knife crime. Around 3,000 children and young people have participated in the programmes, including those with adverse childhood experiences in mainstream education and pupil referral units. Now in their 19th year, the awards showcase innovation and outstanding practice across the children’s services sector. They also provide an all-too-rare opportunity to champion the vital work of services supporting children, young people and families across the UK.   • County lines drug dealer behind bars despite fleeing the country to evade justice: A county lines drug dealer who fled the country in an attempt to evade justice has finally been locked up. Mohammed Ramzan was the head of an organised crime group, who had direct control of others involved in the supply of class A drugs in and around of Telford. The 48-year-old was found guilty several drugs-related charges in March this year. He was convicted of conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine, being concerned in money laundering, two counts of converting criminal property and dangerous driving. https://lnkd.in/efB5wzDE
