🌟 By Now You've Probably Heard... in 2025 we are Launching a Long-Anticipated Youth Forum! 🚂 We are quite excited! 😊 Today we want to share why this means so much to us. Over 4 years, we have engaged and consulted hundreds of young people through exploring the countryside by train, surveys, youth-led focus groups, and workshops. Their input has shaped our travel confidence programmes and resources, helping us develop engaging leisure trails and TrainTripper. In response to their insights and requests, we're now creating a dedicated space to amplify these voices even further! Our new Youth Forum will: 🌍 Champion young people's travel needs 🤝 Make journeys more inclusive 💡 Turn innovative ideas into action ✨ Create real opportunities for young travellers Watch Luke's video to learn more about getting involved. https://lnkd.in/eDaqs5RZ Thanks to our partnership and funding from Great Western Railway (GWR) and our mutual commitment to youth voice, we will create meaningful change in our community. Together, we're committed to ensuring young people have a say in shaping the future of travel. Ready to be part of this exciting journey? 🎄 A huge thank you to The Edge Community Centre in Coopers Edge for hosting us at their brilliant Christmas Fair this weekend, where we connected with hundreds of local families! This is the second of six 24/25 Connecting New Communities events. We engaged directly with over 55 attendees - parents, grandparents, and young people - discussing sustainable travel and transport solutions for the area. In partnership with AtkinsRéalis and Gloucestershire County Council #ThinkTravel, we shared travel confidence resources including our Brockworth and Gloucester Access Maps (which were very popular). We highlighted the importance of accessible and sustainable transport, including the bus link connecting Coopers Edge to Gloucester and its train station which has been well received. The enthusiasm from residents about these services was encouraging! As we continue developing connections and promoting sustainable travel, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas - travel safely and sustainably this holiday season! #SustainableTransport #CommunityEngagement #ThinkTravel #CommunityRail #SustainabilityMatters #PublicTransport #GCRP Nicole Archer Great Western Railway (GWR) Stagecoach Bus
