Following a huge, ongoing engagement programme across the industry and beyond, GBRTT’s Suzanne Donnelly says: “I would encourage the industry to embrace the opportunity next year brings. Remembrance Sunday at The Square in Wolverton was a poignant day of reflection, honouring those who bravely fought for peace and freedom. It was a time to remember and pay tribute to the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of countless individuals who have served and protected our values. The ceremony was marked by heartfelt tributes and solemn moments. Special thanks go to James McIntosh, who represented Gemini Rail Services with dignity, and Kieran French from Unite the Union, who laid wreaths in a moving tribute to the fallen. Their participation underscored the community’s collective gratitude and respect for those who have given so much. A notable moment of the service was the sounding of the air raid siren by Tracey Clark which added a powerful and evocative touch to the proceedings. The siren served as a stark reminder of the trials faced during times of conflict and the enduring spirit of those who lived through them. This Remembrance Sunday was not just about looking back, but also about appreciating the freedoms we enjoy today, thanks to the sacrifices of those who came before us. It was a day to come together as a community, to reflect on our shared history, and to commit to preserving the peace and freedoms that were so dearly won.
