We've also carried out over thirty air lance tests on house plots, fourteen retro tracer gas tests and a number of rounds of ground gas sampling. We are also proud to announce that a second member of our team is taking their first steps to becoming a CITB assessor for the level 2 in Gas Membrane Installation. ⭐⭐⭐RAPID RESPONSE TIME!⭐⭐⭐ From taking the phone call to visiting site was 19mins 58seconds!!!! A company was in the situation where they had missed the 3rd party verification reports close to CML. This has happened a number of times over the past 18 months. Even with professional installation companies and even with respectable validation / verification companies carrying out the works. Sometimes mistakes happen and things get missed, it's understandable we're ALL only human. In this situation the only option is to retro tracer gas test properties, a service we offer. Sometimes remedial work is needed but ultimately most things are fixable. But this has also highlighted a serious flaw in the system. For example; after a house gets a pass at foundation level and something happens i.e. a doorframe is fitted or a pipe is moved, sometimes the membrane gets damaged and is NOT reported. So, you have a pass certificate along with a damaged gas protection system. And we are seeing this more and more! Education to follow on trades is still something that's getting missed onsite. We offer the tracer gas test to simulate gas migration and put the gas protection system to the ultimate test in a live situation so to speak!!! An added step but huge peace of mind!
