It’s the final day of January!! While some people are glad to see the month go, we’ve had plenty of reasons to enjoy it – especially celebrating our team! This month marked six employee birthdays and we think the one that will shock you the most is Anthony’s 18th!! – it almost looks as if he left the hospital to join Giftpoint straight away… (it does go to show though that clearly Giftpoint doesn’t age you!) Congratulations to all of you – Anthony, Wendy Thurlow, Dee Dutton, Liana Todorova, Louise James and Sarah Marr – we are very grateful to have you as part of the team! Time flies when you’re having fun!

Today is Chinese New Year, marking the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar Chinese Calendar. 2025 is the year of the Snake, the sixth animal in the Chinese zodiac cycle and is traditionally associated with traits such as wisdom, intuition and charm - let us know if you were born in the year of the Snake? We would like to extend an extra special “Kung Hei Fat Choi!” to our Giftpoint team in Shanghai who excel in overseeing our sourcing, quality, ethics and shipping - the 24-strong taskforce are invaluable and help us guarantee Giftpoint's trusted quality.

January has been a whirlwind for Giftpoint, and we’re not slowing down anytime soon! After an inspiring visit to Düsseldorf for PSI, Helen Westmoreland and Sophy Smith jetted off to (Vivaaaaaaa) Las Vegas for The PPAI - Promotional Products Association International Expo - the largest and longest-running trade show in the branded merchandise industry. Not only did they reconnect with 75 international attendees, but they also enjoyed catching up with fellow IGC GLOBAL PROMOTIONS - Marketing Materials for International Brands members - mixing business with pleasure (because what happens in Vegas…) While in Vegas, Helen Westmoreland had the honour of speaking at the exclusive ‘Meeting of Minds’ event, joining an incredible lineup of inspiring speakers. These moments of collaboration and connection are invaluable for sharing knowledge, fostering relationships, and turning partnerships into friendships and incredible opportunities. A big thank you to PPAI - Promotional Products Association International for hosting such a fantastic event, and to Vegas for the memories. We’ll see you again in 2026!

Our social media and marketing manager, Jilly Johnson, usually prefers staying behind the camera (unless she’s showcasing her dance moves for your entertainment). But during her visit to PSI - Promotional Product Service Institute, their team convinced her to step in front of the lens - this time in a more professional setting. Last week, Sophy Smith, Helen Westmoreland, Holly Gaskin, Sarah Marr, Jack Hambleton, and Jilly Johnson had the pleasure of attending PSI - Promotional Product Service Institute in Düsseldorf, the leading European trade show for promotional products, incentives, and merchandising. The sustainable sector, in particular, stood out with its fresh and creative offerings - something we know our clients value deeply as they prioritise sustainability in 2025. Of course, it wasn’t all work and no play! We had a little time to explore the city, share some laughs, and catch up with fellow IGC GLOBAL PROMOTIONS - Marketing Materials for International Brands members. It was a great balance of productivity and fun that made the trip all the more memorable.
