  • Its National Mentoring Month and we’re back at it in full swing with our coaching team, kicking off the amazing #AllChild project. This is where it all starts, diving into our workshop materials and getting stuck into coach briefings to make sure we’re delivering sessions that truly matter and make an impact. A big shoutout to our incredible coaching team, Jane, Heidi, Emma, Mandy, and Louisa, who bring so much passion, energy, and expertise to the table. We couldn’t do this without them, and we’re so excited for this new project. Stick around for updates, stories, and behind-the-scenes moments as we roll this out. • Role Model Relay is where we bring together up to 120 girls for a fun, fast-paced 2-hour event where they’ll meet some truly amazing women role models. From Barristers to Broadcasters, Teachers to Train Drivers, Entrepreneurs to International Sports Champions. These women have incredible stories to share about how they got to where they are today. • Campaigners are raising serious concerns about the impact of AI in creating highly realistic but fake nude images of real women. This alarming trend is not only affecting adults but is also increasingly a problem in schools. A recent survey by Internet Matters revealed that 13% of teenagers have encountered nude deepfakes, highlighting the urgent need for action to protect young people from this disturbing misuse of technology. To address this growing issue, Ofcom will introduce new codes of practice for internet companies later this month, aimed at clamping down on the illegal distribution of fake nudes. As advocates for empowering girls and young women, we at Girls Out Loud stand firmly against these harmful practices. It’s crucial to educate and support teenagers as they navigate the challenges of growing up in a digital world. 👉 Click here to read the full article on Sky News: https://lnkd.in/gzfGH_ij #GirlsOutLoud #AI #Deepfakes #OnlineSafety #Empowerment #ProtectingTeens Jane Kenyon
