We recently hosted our first Train the Trainer event at DAF Trucks UK HQ for 50 Marks and Spencer and Gist Limited guests. 🤝 Supported by DAF Dealer Groups Lancashire DAF & Ford & Slater, the aim was to impart the latest legislative and vehicle knowledge for the visitors to take back to their operation - which was achieved through a series of talks from the DAF experts on topics such as GSR 2, DVS, sustainability, and electric trucks. To round off the day, there was a tour of the brand-new M&S vehicles awaiting delivery onto the Gist fleet and DAF Driver Trainers were on hand to answer any questions about the new on-board technology. We look forward to hosting the next group in the coming months. 📅 #Training #Fleet #Trucks #DAFTrucks

Pride month is here! 🌈 We're proud to support the LGBTQIA+ community and we want Gist to be a place where all colleagues feel they belong and can truly be themselves - not just in Pride month, but all year round. This year, we are taking more steps than ever before to celebrate Pride across the business - with an awareness campaign across the network, amongst a host of other activities.
Pride month has begun! 🌈 Across the month, our colleagues will be celebrating all month long in our stores, distribution centres and support centres. Over 300 of our colleagues will also be attending seven Pride marches - our largest presence as a business across UK Pride. And to celebrate with our customers, from today we’ll be doubling customer donations to akt through Sparks. AKT are a brilliant charity that support young LGBTQ+ people facing homelessness. Simply choose AKT as your Sparks charity on the M&S app to help keep LGBTQ+ young people safe and supported with your donation. We are proud to confirm a new verified achievement from The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT (UK)). In achieving this capability badge, we have demonstrated and evidenced that job role responsibilities and accountabilities are embedded within Gist, and that organisational purpose, vision, and values are explained and maintained. The badge also demonstrates that Gist's corporate responsibility relates to the economic and environmental resilience of the supply chain, and that our skills development programmes are accessible to all, including new entrants. #InsideGist #SupplyChain #Logistics

Absolutely delighted to have been named Sustainable Cold Chain Transport Operator 2024 at this year’s Cold Chain Federation Sustainability awards! A massive well done and thank you for your continued efforts to Dan Platten, Tom Atterton, Yasmin Wilks and Grace Smith for this fantastic achievement, as we keep finding ways to reduce our carbon footprint in line with Marks and Spencer Plan A.
I am so excited and proud to share that Gist have won Sustainable Cold Chain Transport Operator 2024💜🥳 This award is a massive indication of how far Gist Limited has come in its sustainability progress and I could not be prouder to be in the sustainability team with Tom Atterton and Yasmin Wilks. What a way to end the financial year. Go team turtle! I also wanted to take this post to give a special shout out to Yasmin Wilks who has not only been an amazing manager and mentor to me since starting at Gist but has worked so hard on the sustainability agenda and ensuring that all of our work streams are in place. I am so glad we now have an award that showcases all of that hard work. 👏🏼😁 Coincidentally the Cold Chain Climate Summit was hosted at my university and it was so exciting to return to campus as someone starting out in the logistics industry and receive this award on behalf of Gist! University of Warwick. It was a really insightful day, I learnt a lot from the speakers and the panels brought about some really interesting debates and points. Thank you Cold Chain Federation for a great day!
