Doing everything we can to reduce emissions is essential to tackle climate change. But we also need to cleanup - remove - the legacy emissions that have already made a mess of our atmosphere. In the latest episode of the Glad Tidings: The Climate Cleanup Podcast (link in the comments) we discuss the need to do both.

  • Join the collective working together to tackle climate change. Yes, the sheer scale of the climate challenge will require governments and big business to play their part, but we don't have to wait for them to get started. #ClimateAction #PlayYourPart

  • One key metric or wonky metric? You decide...

At Glad we're big fans of focus. We have one key metric that drives everything we do: how much impact we're having. Measured by how much excess greenhouse gas we and our climate cleanup community have been able to support removing. Ben and I spoke about this in our latest Glad Tidings: The Climate Cleanup Podcast episode, but I was a little worried that it hadn't come across as our "one key metric" on the video... 🍂🌊 What if we could harness nature’s own processes to remove carbon from the atmosphere - quickly and at scale? At Glad we’re excited about biomass sinking, a carbon removal method that accelerates natural carbon capture by sinking plant material deep into the ocean, locking it away for thousands of years or more! Biomass sinking is one of the solutions we back as part of our mission to offer fast, scalable carbon removal solutions - designed to meet the urgent need for climate action. Curious about how it all works? 👇 Check out our latest blog post in the comments for a deep dive into this innovative solution and how it fits into a diversified carbon removal strategy. #CarbonRemoval #ClimateAction #SustainableFuture #BiomassSinking #SustainableBusiness #GreenBusiness #NetZero #GladClimate

Want to be part of a solution for a sustainable future? This is for you if: 🌍 you believe we need to take action to fix climate change. 👶 you care about building a sustainable future for ourselves and generations to come. 💪 you want to make a meaningful contribution now. Introducing the Glad Pollution Removal Plan: the simplest way you can help tackle climate change - without lifting a finger. 🚫☝️ No, seriously! With the Glad Pollution Removal Plan, businesses can make small monthly contributions on behalf of their employees. Each contribution removes legacy pollution (carbon dioxide) from the atmosphere - a crucial part of addressing climate change. For as little as £1 per day, companies can eliminate over 1 tonne of pollution from our atmosphere each year on your behalf. 🫵 And all you have to do is… well, keep doing your job. The longer you work, the more pollution gets removed. If every employee in the developed world joined a Pollution Removal Plan that removed 1 tonne per employee per year, we could eliminate 1.2 billion tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere every year. For perspective, the combined efforts of the top five carbon removal purchasers globally have removed less than 10 million tonnes to date. In total. Your membership in a Pollution Removal Plan could make a real difference. Why not start today? To do your part: add your email to our Convince your Boss page and we’ll be in touch with resources and materials to help you do just that. 🙌 — — — Find links to our Convince your Boss pages in the comments 💬 👇 #GreenBusiness #FutureOfWork #SustainableBusiness #NetZero #ClimateAction #Sustainability
