🍂🌊 What if we could harness nature’s own processes to remove carbon from the atmosphere - quickly and at scale? At Glad we’re excited about biomass sinking, a carbon removal method that accelerates natural carbon capture by sinking plant material deep into the ocean, locking it away for thousands of years or more! Biomass sinking is one of the solutions we back as part of our mission to offer fast, scalable carbon removal solutions - designed to meet the urgent need for climate action. Curious about how it all works? 👇 Check out our latest blog post in the comments for a deep dive into this innovative solution and how it fits into a diversified carbon removal strategy. #CarbonRemoval #ClimateAction #SustainableFuture #BiomassSinking #SustainableBusiness #GreenBusiness #NetZero #GladClimate

Want to be part of a solution for a sustainable future? This is for you if: 🌍 you believe we need to take action to fix climate change. 👶 you care about building a sustainable future for ourselves and generations to come. 💪 you want to make a meaningful contribution now. Introducing the Glad Pollution Removal Plan: the simplest way you can help tackle climate change - without lifting a finger. 🚫☝️ No, seriously! With the Glad Pollution Removal Plan, businesses can make small monthly contributions on behalf of their employees. Each contribution removes legacy pollution (carbon dioxide) from the atmosphere - a crucial part of addressing climate change. For as little as £1 per day, companies can eliminate over 1 tonne of pollution from our atmosphere each year on your behalf. 🫵 And all you have to do is… well, keep doing your job. The longer you work, the more pollution gets removed. If every employee in the developed world joined a Pollution Removal Plan that removed 1 tonne per employee per year, we could eliminate 1.2 billion tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere every year. For perspective, the combined efforts of the top five carbon removal purchasers globally have removed less than 10 million tonnes to date. In total. Your membership in a Pollution Removal Plan could make a real difference. Why not start today? To do your part: add your email to our Convince your Boss page and we’ll be in touch with resources and materials to help you do just that. 🙌 — — — Find links to our Convince your Boss pages in the comments 💬 👇 #GreenBusiness #FutureOfWork #SustainableBusiness #NetZero #ClimateAction #Sustainability

"For a generation that has grown up witnessing the impact of climate change, and who implicitly understand that they will have to live with worsening effects unless we take drastic action, the demand is clear: companies must do more than the minimum."

Reduce and Remove - it’s an AND not an OR. We need to accelerate both to have a fighting chance of tackling climate change.

Fixing climate change requires bold action. We must reduce the pollution we’re creating AND remove the legacy pollution already in our atmosphere. While progress on reducing emissions is gaining momentum, we’re not yet doing enough to remove legacy carbon. That’s where Glad focuses. We make it simple for businesses to contribute to scalable carbon removal solutions - without needing massive budgets or resources - while engaging employees. Win win. Want to learn more about how Glad is focused on removing legacy pollution? Read our latest blog post “Reduce vs Remove” - link in the comments. 🌍 #CarbonRemoval #ClimateAction #Sustainability #NetZero #BVCM

💨How Does Glad Remove Pollution? At Glad, we don’t remove pollution ourselves - our suppliers do. As a demand aggregator, we connect businesses that want to take meaningful action on climate change with the most effective carbon removal solutions available today. Our goal is to remove legacy carbon pollution on a massive scale - think gigatonnes! To achieve this, we need a variety of carbon removal methods working together. That’s why we take a blended portfolio approach, buying carbon removal from multiple suppliers to spread risk, stabilise costs, and maximise impact. Right now, we’re buying from suppliers using three key methods: 🌿 Biomass Sinking 🪨 Enhanced Rock Weathering 🪵 Biochar But this is just the beginning. We’re constantly refining our strategy, adding new methods and suppliers as technology advances. Our commitment is simple: to always back the best solutions for a cleaner, safer future. We believe bold, scalable action is the key to fixing climate change. Together, we can remove the legacy pollution of our past and create a better tomorrow. Let’s get to work. #ClimateAction #PollutionRemoval #Sustainability #ClimateCrisis #GladClimate #CarbonRemoval #GreenTech #InnovationForGood

🚀 Same mission - Fix climate change. Fresh approach. From day one, we’ve been laser-focused on removing atmospheric pollution – and that mission remains unchanged. If you’ve been following the Glad journey, you’ll remember we initially planned to launch the Glad Climate Card – a business payment card that directs 1% of spending to fund pollution removal, at no extra cost to the business or merchant. While the Climate Card is still in the works, we’ve found an even simpler way to deliver impact, and I couldn’t be more excited! 🎉 In just a few days, we’ll be launching employee Pollution Removal Plans – a game-changing way for businesses to contribute to climate action on behalf of their teams. Imagine if your company offered this as part of their benefits package: **As a business we remove a tonne or more of pollution from the atmosphere every year for every employee.**🌍 Can’t wait to share more! --- Erm Ben, have you really branded a ski jump team? Of course not!. Generative ai is a wonderful thing, however, I suggest either my prompts need work or AI image gen still has a way to go. This took about 8 attempts and some photoshop amends. If you look carefully this ski jumper is going to have one heck of a tough landing (hopefully not a metaphor for Glad’s launch!) plus the entire audience will miss it - again let’s hope that doesn’t happen 🤣
