Scammers are targeting rail passengers with fake unlimited travel deals, ScotRail has warned. ScotRail communications director says: 'We are aware of a social media-based scam from an account imitating ScotRail and would urge customers to be vigilant when engaging across all social media platforms.' The GDA Connects team is available to discuss online scams and internet safety. Reach out: 0141 556 7103 or email connect@gdaonline.co.uk

High levels of flu are circulating this winter. If you are eligible, please get your free flu and/or COVID-19 vaccine. Having the flu vaccine helps prevent serious illness from flu and passing it on to others. By getting a COVID-19 vaccine, you’re likely to have milder symptoms if you catch COVID-19 and recover faster. To book an appointment or find your nearest drop-in clinic, visit https://lnkd.in/ejRJ-aKw. For additional help or assistance, call the Vaccination Helpline on 0800 030 8013. #WinterVaccinesScot

If you identify as a #neurodivergent woman or if you are in a role that can affect change for neurodivergent employees, you may be interested in a new project I'm working on. The Wedge is a collaboration between working #neurominority women and allies to improve employment outcomes for women with conditions such as #autism and #ADHD. If you'd like to learn more or get involved, we are hosting a Zoom session at noon on 31st January. You don't have to commit to anything to attend. Registration is here: https://lnkd.in/eTN5ugVU and you can find out more about The Wedge at https://thewedge.scot/ - and please feel free to share this with others in your network!

We have a new online Learning opportunity starting next Thursday 16th January on Zoom. Glasgow Kelvin College will be taking a group of members through their 6-week course in #CommunityDevelopment. This is a process where people come together to take action on what's important to them. Learn about the positive social change that community development can provide and how you can get involved. This could be the community of your immediate local area, or a community of identity, like disabled people. No prior experience is necessary. At the end of the course, you will receive an SCQF accredited certificate. Email learning@gdaonline.co.uk or call 0141 556 7103 if you'd like to take part.
