With the new enhancement features, operators could interact with the intent handler more efficiently & extend the intent capability to support new services 🟢 Closed control loop investigates the dynamic closed control loop creation for communication service assurance, Conflict Detection & Resolution across multiple CCLs. XR4Europe is ready to release it's European XR Industry Report 2025, which is the result of surveys collected and analysed late last year. Drawing on data from over 230 organisations, including startups, SMEs, and universities, the report offers actionable insights into the ecosystem's dynamics and potential and suggestions for policymakers. Just a few insights from the report: * Sector Diversity: Education, arts/culture, healthcare, advertising, and industrial manufacturing are the most common sectors served. SMEs succeed with flexible, multi-sector models. * Exports & Growth: 83% of companies operate globally, with the US as a key market. Optimism for 2025 revenue growth is high, especially among companies serving multiple-sector and global clients. The report also represents the first research collaboration with INMERSIVAˣᴿ, Eirmersive, and Luis Bravo Martins, and we are already planning to grow this collaboration and invite new collaborators to research in 2025. This innovative approach bridges the gap in remote and critical communications, ensuring seamless and reliable connectivity in even the most challenging environments. By leveraging satellite technology, private 5G networks can extend their reach far beyond traditional terrestrial limits, providing robust and secure communication channels. This advancement is particularly crucial for industries operating in remote areas, such as mining, oil and gas, and emergency services. The UK's 2025 AI Opportunities Action Plan, with its 50 proposed actions, risks becoming a modern-day equivalent of the 1865 Red Flag Act, which severely hampered early automobile development. While the plan includes positive elements like attracting AI talent and promoting AI adoption within government, it lacks the boldness needed to truly establish the UK as an AI superpower. Instead of unleashing AI's potential, the plan seems to prioritize cautious oversight through numerous work streams, rules, and policies. This approach is akin to walking ahead of AI innovation with a red flag, rather than fostering its rapid advancement. The plan notably omits key initiatives such as widespread AI literacy education, universal access to advanced AI tools, significant incentives for AI entrepreneurship, and deregulation to encourage innovation. The largest AI-focused deals were in diagnostics, drug development & women's health. 3️⃣ 𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐚-𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞: Mega-rounds ($100 million+ deals) saw a 50% year-over-year increase in 2024, with the top deals centered on drug discovery and development. The majority of these high-value deals were in the U.S. 4️⃣ 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭: Despite a slight 3% increase in digital health funding, the overall deal count dropped by 23% year-over-year, marking the lowest annual total since 2014. Europe experienced the sharpest decline in deal activity. 5️⃣ 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬: In Q4 2024, the U.S. led with $2.3 billion across 170 deals, while Asia and Europe followed with $0.1 billion and $0.7 billion, respectively.
