To conduct advanced field trials of most representative and innovative CAM applications seamlessly functioning across a designated 5G cross-border corridor (‘Via Baltica-North’) spanning across 3 EU member states borders (Latvia-Estonia-Finland) in order to validate the latest 5G features and 3GPP specifications under realistic conditions, so as to accelerate the widespread deployment of 5G E2E interoperable CAM ecosystems and services in digitised motorways, railways and shipways throughout Europe. LATEST: GSMA's Network APIs for Manufacturing Mobile networks employ a multitude of #APIs for configuring, monitoring, and controlling their operations. Some APIs can be clearly categorised as device, RAN, core network, etc., but frequently they involve multiple parts of the end-to-end connection, e.g., network slicing. Today, APIs are also available for certain Over-The-Top (#OTT) and #edge #computing services. ˗ˏˋ ꒰ 🍓🍒🍄 ꒱ ˎˊ˗ Types of Mobile Networks 1. Device (User Equipment - UE) 🍄Focus: APIs related to the user's mobile device, specifically from the network perspective. 🍒Examples: ✮Device management (ID assignment, verification, authentication) ✮Device status (battery level, signal strength, etc.) ✮Device location (tracking, geofencing) ✮Device diagnostics (troubleshooting) ✮Connectivity management (Wi-Fi, cellular data) 2. RAN (Radio Access Network) 🍄Focus: APIs related to the radio access network, which connects devices to the core network (think cell towers and base stations). 🍒Examples: ✮RAN performance KPIs (Key Performance Indicators - measures of network efficiency and quality) ✮Discontinuous Reception (DRX) control (a power-saving technique for devices) 3. Core Network 🍄Focus: APIs for the core network, which manages connectivity and services. 🍒Examples: ✮Event monitoring (alarms and notifications). ✮Core network resource control (managing capacity and allocation). ✮Network analytics (data analysis for optimization). ✮Charging APIs (billing and usage tracking). 4. UE-RAN-Core (Device to Core Network) 🍄Focus: APIs that span the path from the device, through the RAN, to the core network. 🍒Examples: ✮Voice call-related APIs (VoLTE, call setup, etc.). ✮Session QoS control (Quality of Service - ensuring a good user experience). ✮PDN (Packet Data Network) connection status (connection to the internet). 5. UE-RAN-Core-PDN (Device to Packet Data Network) 🍄Focus: APIs covering the entire path from the device to the external packet data network (typically the internet). 🍒Examples: ✮Network slicing APIs (creating virtualized, dedicated networks for specific services). 6. OTT (Over-The-Top): 🍄Focus: APIs related to services delivered over the top of the network, like streaming apps. 🍒Examples: ✮WebRTC routing setup (for real-time communication). ✮Group messaging APIs. 7.
