In 2008, Golfbreaks travelled on mass to the Algarve, and to the then Oceanico Old course, where the slightly dated pic was taken! See anyone you recognise? Roll on 16 years, and after a record-breaking October, we were back again. This time with the Leadership and 15+ years' service team. Thank you so much to all our partners who made the weekend possible. The Domes Lake Algarve, Autograph Collection, was the perfect base and an ideal location for our celebratory event. The Old Course, with its revamped course and sumptuous new clubhouse, was even better than I remembered. It's clear Nuno Sepúlveda, Diogo Durao, Alice Carlota and the team at Details - Hospitality, Sports, Leisure are on a mission to up the game #keeppushing 👍 Ombria Golf Course, the latest addition to the Algarve, hosted our final round with some stunning views. This course is really taking off. Thanks to Salvador Costa Macedo and his team. We were treated to some incredible dinners at Bovino, Quinta Do Lago Golf, thank you Luis Filipe and Paxia near Vale do Lobo. Finally, none of this would have been possible without the amazing support of Maria Manuel Delgado e Silva at the Associação Turismo do Algarve/ Algarve Tourism Bureau. She's the finest Algarve ambassador! Thank you Judith Cook and Gemma Clements for the organisational support and of course Andrew Stanley, Steve Hemsworth, Daniel Grave & Guy Proddow for putting on such an incredible weekend. We look forward to a fantastic 2025 and beyond with the Algarve.

In the last couple of weeks, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of spending time with team members who have built up an incredible 700 years of service with Golfbreaks over the last 26 years. Firstly at our annual 10-year service dinner, which is always such a fun evening of great company and great food, and secondly on our Senior Team and 15 Years service trip to the Algarve where we also invite partners. I’ve said it before – and I will inevitably say it again – but I am so proud to be part of the Golfbreaks Team. Andrew, Steve, Guy, and Daniel have created one of the most special places to work, and as I near ever closer to my 20th anniversary with the company, I always look back at these events and the numerous ones before with such fond memories. This last weekend, in particular, is one never to forget – involving fabulous golf, some ‘banger racing’, wine tasting, dancing, karaoke, and stunning food. What a special group of people we have put together.
