Making access to safe and sustainable period care a basic right.

About us

Everyone should have access to safe and sustainable period products - without exception and without compromise. At Grace & Green, we combine ethical and innovative products with empowering period education, so that all people can navigate life with unwavering confidence and dignity. We show up for every body. Our Founder, Fran, spent over a decade in the water and sanitation sector. Having witnessed firsthand how conventional period products impact our water systems and the environment, she knew that a solution had to be found. After three years of research and product development, Grace & Green was launched. Grace & Green products are made from organic bamboo and cotton, making them free from pesticides, dyes, bleaches, and other toxic chemicals. All of our products are certified organic and either reusable or biodegradable. Innovation is taking us even further; we constantly strive for growth and look for new ways to work with what’s available to us, as provided by nature.

Better periods start here. It’s not just about providing period products for employees; it’s about offering better, safer options. Many traditional pads and tampons contain toxins, plastics or aren’t suitable for different flows, leading to discomfort and leaks. That’s where we come in. Partner with us to offer free organic period products that support your employees—no matter their cycle, age, or gender identity. Last weekend, we were proud to support an important community health event organised in collaboration with Harmony Clinic, led by the exceptional Ronke Olulana. Harmony Clinic’s community outreach efforts have been pivotal in raising awareness on topics like cancer screening and sickle cell. Cervical cancer screening rates in Barking & Dagenham remain below the national target of 80%, with only 64.8% of women aged 25-49 screened. Around 200 women attended the event, which focused on promoting breast, bowel, and cervical cancer screenings—particularly for Black women aged 20-60, who face higher risks for poorer health outcomes in these areas. Through this initiative, the clinic aim to close the gap by emphasising early detection and preventive care. We are grateful to have contributed donations to support this cause and help raise awareness of the vital need for screening. It’s inspiring to see how collective action can create meaningful change in communities. Thank you to Dr Remi Mogekwu for reaching out to us and Ms (Dr) Karen Joash for your keynote speech.

What if we learned about menstrual conditions sooner? It takes on average 2 years to get diagnosed with PCOS, 8 years for endometriosis, and anywhere from 5 to 20 years for PMDD. That's a long time for people to deal with pain, irregular periods and intense psychological symptoms without knowing the cause. Menstruators shouldn't have to wait until their late 20s or 30s or even 40s to book that first appointment, only to wait even longer for a diagnosis. The sooner menstruators know about these conditions, the faster they can spot the symptoms, speak up, and start getting answers. But we’re here to change that – we’re passionate about educating students on menstrual health and answering any questions they have. Reach out to us to learn more about how we can support your students. 📧 https://lnkd.in/eRqZjJ-B

Too many people are left with more questions than answers about their own periods. For too long, menstrual health education has skimmed the surface, leaving older generations in the dark and young people confused. Basic biology is just the start, but we need to get real about the complexities of periods because no two are the same. Every student deserves to understand not only what happens during a period but how their bodies evolve over time, with the tools to identify pain levels, conditions and advocate for their health. That’s where our Period Dignity scheme steps in. We’re here to ensure students feel fully prepared, not just for now but for every stage of their journey ahead. Period pain isn’t a ‘day off’. PMS, PCOS, endometriosis, and PMDD bring real, often debilitating pain. Yet society frequently dismisses it as minor, exaggerated or akin to a sick day. This isn’t about ‘being sick’ or taking a ‘vacation’ but about managing a chronic reality that deeply impacts daily life. It’s time to validate these experiences and recognise the strength it takes to show up despite the pain, and to create spaces where rest and support for menstrual health are normalised, not stigmatised.
