What a night! 🎉 Thank you to everyone who attended and engaged with the launch of The Legacy Report at packed out event at Simmons & Simmons in central London last night. This is a pivotal piece of work undertaken by our Real Assets team over 18 months, with more than 170 female real estate leaders. Backed by Real Estate Balance, the report reveals the key reasons women would leave the sector - with a resounding 80% citing lack of flexibility. The report was co-authored by GR's Real Assets Senior Partner Edward Ali M. and Michela Hancock, Managing Director, Greystar Europe, with a conclusion with Real Estate Balance MD Sue Brown. Michela was also part of a fascinating and lively panel discussion alongside Ciaran Bird, CEO UK & Ireland CBRE, Kate Craig Waller, Partner Granger Reis, Kate Curneen, Partner at Simmons & Simmons, and was moderated in style by Green Street News residential and retail editor Jessica Middleton-Pugh. The Legacy Report constitutes hundreds of hours of testimony and written feedback from the 172 women which revealed five key recommendations. ⤴️ Develop better flexible working as an absolute priority 🔝 Promote and recognise female talent in organisations 🙋🏽♂️ Foster male allies and develop role models 🏢 Build better support systems & networks 🫸🏼 Challenge cultural and institutional barriers Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed. We are already looking forward to what comes next. Read the full report and join the conversation here: https://lnkd.in/ecufavzA #genderdiversity #influentialchange #realestate #leadership
