Our community engagement team has been facilitating community input on two exciting initiatives for Reach Bridgend over the past week.   The potential construction of an all-weather sports facility on the site of the former Blaencaerau Junior School in Caerau and the potential transformation of the Llynfi BMX Racing Club complete with a new pump track and skate park.   The community insight and ideas will be crucial to helping ensure these new facilities reflect the needs and aspirations of the local community. 🗨️ 🗣️ 👂   Following both events, Matthew Rowlands from Noddfa Youth and Community Project alongside the Reach team will be developing a vision for the development of both sites and investigate capital funds which may be available to progress to the next phase of the projects.   Community engagement is just one part of what we do at Grasshopper, but helping to create conversations, get people talking and facilitate meaningful positive changes to local communities, is at the heart of what we do. 💚   For more information visit here https://lnkd.in/egCXXQV8 👉

Nominations close at 5pm this evening for the Welsh Conservative leadership contest. With all but one MS supporting Darren Millar by this morning, the Clwyd West MS looks set to be confirmed as leader when nominations close later. Find out who is supporting him 👇

Today is Carbon Literacy Action Day - Its the world's largest climate education and action training event of its kind. People from all corners of the globe come together to undergo a day's worth of Carbon Literacy training, with the idea that it will help to catalyse action on climate change.🌎 At Grasshopper our aim is to deliver positive change to the world around us, and central to this is playing our part in tackling the climate emergency. Therefore to fully understand our own carbon footprint, we recently commissioned Auditel to carry out our first carbon footprint report.
