At GreenPowerMonitor, a DNV company we have been undertaking an effort to standardize the data we store and have designed our own data-driven taxonomy. The taxonomy has been developed and tested by GPM, along with Lineo, the #MachineLearning application that will streamline data storage and processing. Catch the second video in our series! Emma explains more about this initiative, telling us more about the crucial work she and the team have been developing: “The reason we've decided to use Machine Learning is because it is impossible to manually assign the taxonomy to the thousands or 10s of thousands of data points that come from a solar plant. Natural language processing can be very useful here to automatically assign our standard to the unstandardized data tags coming from a solar plant.” About the solar taxonomy project: 1. This is particularly relevant in solar because plants have dozens of devices and thousands or even 10s of thousands of tags coming from those devices.” "We call it a data informed solar taxonomy because it’s based on GPM’s experience of monitoring over 65 gigawatts of solar data. Our exceptional Customer Success Team addressed over 15,400 customer needs, showcasing our unwavering commitment to excellence. We can proudly say that we also excelled in our QHSSE goals and recorded 0 accidents in 2024.
