About us
Greensand Multi Academy Trust ("the Trust") consists of nine schools: Dovers Green Infant School Holmesdale Community Infant School Milton Mount Primary School Reigate School St John's Primary School Wray Common Primary School Horley Infant School Yattendon Primary School Kingswood Primary School And one Associate Member School Epsom Downs Primary School Our schools, which are a mix of infant, primary and secondary schools located in Surrey and West Sussex, collaborated for a number of years prior to the formation of the Trust. Strong relationships were built between our small community of schools and the creation of the Trust was a natural progression. The school leaders and governing bodies worked together to determine the Trust's vision and goals prior to its formation on 1st November 2017. Our Mission is to enrich the lives of every child in our Trust by providing inspiring and transformational learning, cultural and life experiences. We harness the collective power of the schools that make up Greensand MAT through maximising the opportunities for collaboration and supporting the work and progress of others. We challenge ourselves to always be even better tomorrow than we are today, always striving to provide and excellent education and helping every child to step into their greatness.

At the start of November we held our Autumn Governance Conference this week, with almost 60 Governors and Trustees attending from across our Trust. These termly conferences help to ensure our Governors and Trustees are skilled for the role of supporting our schools and Trust. Thank you to Anya Salisbury, Headteacher at Epsom Downs Primary, for her excellent presentation on the Nurture programme, which helps children with their Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Anya has 12 years experience of working with Nurture and all Greensand schools are part of the Surrey focus on Nurture. Schools across our Trust marked Remembrance Day last week with a wide variety of activities. As well as holding a minute's silence, they have held assemblies and parades, laid wreaths on memorial sites, completed contemplative artwork and poetry, recreated a poppy field, visited & tended a WW1 soldier's grave and learned why poppies are a symbol of respect. #RemembranceDay #LestWeForget #SteppingIntoGreatness #MultiAcademyTrust

This week, schools across our Trust have embraced Anti-Bullying Alliance theme of #ChooseRespect to commemorate Anti Bulling Week. Children across our Trust observed Odd Sock Day on Tuesday 12th November to honour difference and individuality. The Trust also focused on showing kindness and respect to each other, held 'Friendship Week', enjoyed a theatre show on 'Choices for Good' and class workshops on the theme of 'Choose Respect' and celebrated respect through artwork. #ChooseRespect #AntiBullyingWeek24 #SteppingIntoGreatness #MultiAcademyTrust
