Our ambition is to create a supportive environment in Glasgow in which social enterprise is able to flourish.

The Glasgow Communities Fund has reopened! 🎉 The Fund provides 3-year funding to community and third sector organisations to deliver a diverse range of projects at a city-wide and local level. Applicants can apply until 12 midday on 7th of April. There is also support available to potential applicants through online information sessions on the fund, along with support sessions on "Making Better Applications", delivered by GCVS. Calling all members! Join us at this month's network meeting to learn about Tempo Time Credits. Tempo Time Credits is a volunteer reward scheme charity based in Wales, that supports volunteers to accrue time credits that can be used to purchase/access a range of products and services from a network of ‘Recognition Partners’ – GSEN is working in collaboration with Volunteer Glasgow, Tempo Time Credits, and other partners to bring Tempo Time Credits to Glasgow in a unique and innovative way. GSEN members have an opportunity to be at the heart of the development of a network of ‘Recognition Partners’ in Glasgow. The next GSEN Members' Meeting is taking place on Thursday 20th of February. This month's meeting will be hosted at Project Ability and catered by Courtyard Pantry Enterprise. We will be joined by David Maxwell, CEO of Volunteer Glasgow to find out more about Tempo Time Credits and all things social enterprise and volunteering. RSVP below!

What a week! Last Friday, our director Jennifer Robertson attended the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Celebration and Showcase at the Social Enterprise Summit 2024 - a wonderful exploration of Scotland’s vibrant social enterprise community and the incredible work being done to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion. The showcase was held in partnership with Dechomai, Pride Outside, Social Enterprise Scotland and Social Investment Scotland. Pictured above is our director Jen with Bayile Adeoti from Dechomai and Ellis Beardsmore from Pride Outside. Along with the great showcases were this year's Social Enterprise Awards, and we are delighted to acknowledge the many nominees and winners from our network! 🏆 Congratulations to our members Ceis, Pride Outside, Sunny Cycles, Govan Community Project, Braw talent, Studio FV and Loco Home Retrofit on their well-deserved nominations this year! Join us for our next Members' Meeting tomorrow! For our October Members' Meeting, we’ve chosen the theme of Colliding Cultures. We’ll be focusing on diversity in the social enterprise landscape, and within our own network, along with discussing the strengths and challenges we come up against. Bayile Adeoti from Dechomai will be with us to tell us about the new Ethnic Minority Nework and to discuss the findings of the ACCESS Report - research on barriers for Ethnic Minority social entrepreneurs accessing finance. We will also hear form Empower Women for Change on their new Bridging Communities Project. We will also be joined by one of our newfound members, Bahar from Uplift and Empower, who will tell us about her upcming focus groups in Glasgow.
