We’re working with UK retailer Tesco to make healthcare services more accessible to its customers through a new pilot initiative. Shoppers can receive free advice on oral hygiene from a qualified Oral Health Educator when visiting the Tesco Extra Store in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, UK. This advice is being provided by the Haleon Oral Health Hub within the store and is part of an expanded range of healthcare services provided by Tesco, for the first time. Tesco is planning two additional pilot stores as part of its UK pilot in 2025. We’re proud to be playing our part in the pilot by delivering advice for better everyday health to shoppers. For the seventh consecutive year, we connected with our partners at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai. We were delighted to have the British Ambassador in China, Caroline Wilson DCMG, attending the CIIE reception sponsored by Haleon and Lewis Neal, His Majesty's Trade Commissioner, UK Embassy, attending the booth opening ceremony. China has been one of Haleon’s most important markets for over 40 years. Brands like Centrum, Caltrate, Fenbid and Bactroban are part of the daily routine for many Chinese families, and we’re constantly looking for new ways to better serve consumers and their local communities.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has identified climate change as a fundamental threat to human health, with 3.6 billion people already living in areas highly susceptible to climate change. Haleon’s Health Inclusivity Screener is a new AI powered tool which can help address the inclusivity gap. It’s the only data driven tool of its kind to analyse digital advertising content for both readability and inclusivity metrics. These insights will help Haleon to deliver digital content which is accessible, easy to understand, and which reflects the millions of consumers we serve globally. 83% of global advertisements fail to meet basic accessibility standards, while 54% of consumers saying they don’t feel culturally represented in online advertising. We’re committed to taking action to help close the health inclusivity gap. That includes addressing health literacy, accessibility and representation within healthcare advertising. As part of its Actions to Breathe Cleaner initiative, Otrivine has partnered with England Athletics to develop Clean Air Guidance aimed at reducing runners’ exposure to air pollution. At Haleon, we remain committed to promoting inclusive health systems. Last week, our Chief Marketing Officer Tamara Rogers, took part in a panel discussion on the subject alongside the World Health Summit held in Berlin, Germany. We joined forces with the independent policy institute Chatham House, to discuss how to foster trust and resilience in the health sector amidst a fractured geopolitical environment. The panel concluded that if countries and the public and private sectors work together to foster a more inclusive approach to health, the effects could be transformative in achieving global health and equity targets.
