📢 Applications are open for our third Inclusivity in Wine WSET course! And this time, we are hosting it at London's Wembley Stadium in February 2025. This free-of-charge programme, led by Hallgarten’s highly experienced Wine Trainer and Educator, Kristina Whitney, takes candidates through the WSET Level 2 course. This programme is available to applicants currently working in the hospitality industry and from a diverse background who may not have had easy access to such opportunities. The phrase ‘diverse background’ is open to interpretation and may include, but is not limited to, disability, ethnicity, neurodiversity, gender and sexuality. This is the third successive year that Hallgarten has run this programme, previously hosted at locations in London and Manchester, which looks to promote the future stars of the hospitality and wine industries. You do not need to be an existing customer of Hallgarten to apply. WSET courses are highly regarded and widely considered to be the industry-leading qualification, with completion of the course considered valuable for individuals looking to progress their career. 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗿: 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 🇿🇦 One of the latest exciting additions to our South African portfolio is Sauvignon Blanc specialists Cape Point Vineyards. Cellar Master Hannes Meyer shares with us what makes Cape Point so unique, and what makes their idyllic location – just 2 kilometres from the Atlantic Ocean and sitting among the picturesque hills and valleys in Noordhoek – so well suited to the production of world-class Sauvignon Blanc. Cape Point Vineyards was founded in 1997 following extensive soil and climatic analyses when the first Sauvignon Blanc vines here were pushing their roots into the soils of their new home against the south-facing slopes of Constantiaberg Mountain. The establishment of Cape Point Vineyards also prompted the declaration of the new Cape Point Wine of Origin District. They are the only winery in this entire district and are sustainably certified by IPW. #capepointvineyard #southafrica

We were thrilled to sponsor the National Chef of the Year awards again this year. Ourselves and Champagne Collet would like to extend our congratulations to Orry Shand of Entier Limited for taking home the highly esteemed culinary title of National Chef of the Year 2024 after a fierce final judging day yesterday. A well deserved congratulations to all of the 10 talented #NCOTY finalists who competed in yesterday's final, including Cleverson Cordeiro of Frog By Adam Handling who achieved second place, and Paul Gamble of Waitrose & Partners, who placed third. And, a special mention to Jethro Lawrence of apetito UK for winning the Wine Pairing Competition! 🍷 This competition is always a fantastic opportunity to showcase the expertise and skills of some of the finest talent in the industry, and this year was no exception. It has been an amazing year supporting this iconic competition and to celebrate this talented cohort of chefs. We already can't wait for next year The Craft Guild of Chefs. 🍽🥂 #NCOTY
