Following the Supreme Court’s landmark decision last week in the case of Sky v Skykick, senior associate Daniel Prim's comments were featured in an article by IPWatchdog, Inc. Daniel highlighted that “the impact of this decision should not be underestimated” and that the Supreme Court’s decision to proceed with the judgment despite a settlement that had been reached was “unusual” but “brings some much needed clarity to brand owners and the IP industry in a number of important areas.” The full article is available via the link below.

It has been an important week for landmark intellectual property judgments. As well as the Supreme Court judgment being handed down in Sky v Skykick on Wednesday, this week also saw a decision made in the case of WaterRower v Liking, a case which considered whether a rowing machine can be classified as a 'work of artistic craftsmanship' eligible for copyright protection.
