As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, our Chair of Trustees, Alexandra Marks CBE, shared, "It’s 30 years today since The Hardman Trust started - quite a milestone. Even more significant are the thousands of men and women on long sentences whom we have been able to help get their lives back on track. We are so proud of their resilience, and achievements – and so grateful to all the staff members, funders, volunteers, and trustees who have been part of our journey over the past three decades. If you have a story to share, please get in touch with us." #employability #charity #birthday

We are so proud of our fundraising superhero Suzanne Duffy for achieving her distinction. Thank you for how hard you work for the people we support in prisons across the UK
🥇Fundraisers extraordinaire! Jessica McGreal & Suzanne Duffy 🏆 have achieved Distinction in their Fundraiser apprenticeships. J&S are employed by two wonderful, supportive charities CAFOD and Hardman Trust respectively, which have invested in their future and supported them through the course. It couldn't have been done without their employers. Jessica comments "The person I’d particularly like to thank is my skills coach Hannah Kowszun MSc – her support and guidance really helped me to achieve a distinction, and her mentoring will help me as I move forward in my career. I’d like to thank CAFOD, and my line manager Neil Roper, Fundraising Events Manager, for giving me the opportunity to do this apprenticeship and supporting me to excel." Suzanne adds "A huge thank you to Annabel Chow and Hannah Kowszun MSc from The JGA Group for their invaluable support and guidance throughout my apprenticeship. Your encouragement and expertise made all the difference at every step. I also want to express my appreciation to my CEO, Kerryn Wotton, for sharing her extensive knowledge and support over the past year. It’s been a privilege to learn and grow under your mentorship." We'd like to add that apprenticeship programmes don't work without experts behind the scenes at the employers. In this case a million cheers 😍 go to Melissa A. and Olawumi Akoleaje, Assoc.CIPD, (ACIPM) as well as Suzanne for making opportunities happen. As Hannah is getting lots of credit, it only remains to thank Harpreet Kondel (BA Hons) MCIOF and Joel Voysey Msc, MCIOF(Cert) for leading the tutor groups and to congratulate everyone involved. 👏 Hardman Trust offer financial, practical and emotional support to people leaving prison following long-term sentences. CAFOD is the official Catholic aid agency for England and Wales tackling poverty and injustice across the world. #charity #fundraising #apprenticeships cfi Jo Kitterick, Karen Livingstone MCIPD, Hayley D.

2/3 of people in prison are spending most of their days in their cells – a troubling statistic that highlights the urgent need for reform in our prison system. The Russell Webster report shows how isolation, lack of purposeful activity, and reduced access to rehabilitation can undermine efforts for successful reintegration. At Hardman Trust, we support long-term prison leavers to rebuild their lives and offer them opportunities for a positive future. Everyone deserves a chance to turn their lives around. #employability #prisonreform https://lnkd.in/eHwVgxTZ
