An enlightening few days in Leeds at UKREiiF, bumping into friends old and new. A sunny Tuesday turned into a very wet Wednesday, but spirits remained high. We were there to support Cumberland Council and Kingmoor Park through our work on the www.k2kingmoor.co.uk project. The mood started positively with the reduction in the rate of inflation to 2.3%, followed swiftly (and some would say cynically) by the announcement of a General Election on 4th July. This feels like a major turning point in the UK economy and hopefully will lead to positive decision making in the UK property market to get us out of the doldrums, where we appear to have been languishing for the last 18months. There was a major announcement from Steve Rotherham and Andy Burnham Greater Manchester Combined Authority, with the formation of a new Board to deliver a new railway line linking Liverpool Central to Manchester Piccadilly, with Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington at the centre of it all. Congratulations to all involved. The addition of #spotthedog to the Cumberland Council stand was a crowd pleaser and even assisted in delivering K2Kingmoor brochures to the amassed crowds! Thanks to all those involved in the event, particularly to Debbie Kavanagh for all her hard work around the Cumberland delegation and to Phil Laycock for bringing us all together. See you all next year, when hopefully the weather plays ball and is sunny, like the outlook for the year ahead!

Harlex is delighted to announce the sale of this site in Timperley to Miller Homes Ltd, which will deliver much needed housing in Trafford. Thanks to Fiera Real Estate UK as property advisors to the Residential Land Partnership, a fund managed by Schroders, for your partnership throughout the project. Since the acquisition from Wyevale Garden Centres (thanks Jon Patrick) in September 2018, Harlex has worked with Fiera to unlock the potential of the site through the planning process and the sale marks the successful end of this process.
