Our team had a great time at the Bright Ideas in Health Awards last night, hearing from inspirational speakers and meeting other innovators from across the region. Huge congratulations to our Primary Care Outreach Team, and our partners at CGL and Public Health, who won the Innovation and Improvement in Reducing Healthcare Inequalities Award. And commiserations to our Women's Health Team who were finalists in the Innovations in Women's Health Award, but who were just pipped to the post by another service. We are so proud of both teams, who really show that with hard-work and passion, you can take innovative ideas and make them a reality that impacts patients' lives.

Our clinical team and amazing apprentices will be out in Stockton tomorrow with the @MADEinMelissa bus and Stockton's @changegrowliveuk team! We're raising awareness of how alcohol impacts your life and giving tips on how you can cut back. #AlcoholAwarenessWeek

So, we're a little late with this but it will be worth it..... Back in 2020 when we were running the COVID Vaccine programme for some of our PCN's we chatted a lot about how to increase uptake for COVID vaccines and how to make it easy for patients, particularly patients who would face a struggle to be able to attend on of our clinics. One of our ideas was to take the vaccine to the people who wouldn't come to our clinics, to look at the health of our community and make it as easy for patients as possible to get vaccinated - obviously the way to do this would be with a vaccine bus! After a lot of planning, researching and applying for funding we would like to introduce you to RALPH. On Wednesday 19th June 2024 RALPH was at Gloucester House with our Apprentices hosting a "know your numbers" event, we had over 30 patients pop in. RALPH stands for Research and Learning for Primary Healthcare. We are so excited about the endless opportunities RALPH will give to be in community treating and educating patients.
