Another successful project launched 🚀 This weekend, HBSUK has partnered with Hywel Dda University Health Board to help clear the backlog of patients waiting for hip and knee surgery. Yesterday the pre assessment clinics kicked off ready to get the longest waiting patients the care that they need. 🏥 Our clinicians, Roney, Emma and Steve had the patients smiling throughout and it was great to see how happy the patients were to get the ball rolling with their treatment 😊 As ever Karen Ruggles was on hand to ensure the smooth delivery of the project and help me, enhance my knowledge, of how the project will operate on the ground! Thank you Karen! 🌟 This is going to be an exciting one! #hbsuk #NHSpartnership #collaboration

What an end to the year! 1000 patients who have waited over 2 years for an appointment all seen in just 3 weekends! 👏🏼🎉 How⁉️…. Whilst the U.K. slowed down to celebrate Christmas, HBSUK partnered with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board to help clear the longest waiting ENT outpatients before year end. I had the pleasure of attending the clinics and impressive is an understatement! Everything ran like clockwork! The success could not have been achieved without the fantastic Faye, Shauna and Ian who are an absolute asset to the Health Board. Their passion for their work is unquestionable 🎉 From our side Karen Ruggles, wow 🤩… Karen navigated each step of the project seamlessly. Karen went over and above to lead the operations management and I know the health board are ecstatic about the end results. I really don’t think anyone else can do what HBSUK can do, and that’s because they don’t have Karen! 🌟 Finally a huge thank you to our clinicians who, without them, none of this would have been possible. To see 1000 patients in 3 weekends is impressive. To see 1000 patients and have such unanimously positive feedback from the patients, is nothing short of epic 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thank You! #hbsuk #partnershipworking #insourcing

The team will see more than 1400 patients in the upcoming months thanks to this important partnership with the Trust. HBSUK has a strong track record of effectively managing outpatient clinics across many specialties. • Catherine Davies, Director of the Digital Healthcare Council, of which HBSUK is a member, writes in today's Telegraph about 'Why digital must be at the heart of reforms' and outlines how digital providers help the NHS at all stages of the patient journey. With the government's plans to transition the NHS from an analogue to a digital service, targeting digital solutions can help address growing waiting lists and span the patient pathway. We are already supporting NHS Trusts with our 'one-stop shop', which combines 'blended' online (Virtual Lucy) and inpatient pathways (Insourcing). This improves outcomes, increases productivity, reduces costs, and improves patient care. We’ve had a great first-day at GIANT Health Event, and we’re looking forward to Day 2 tomorrow!   Alex Nancekievill, our Chief Technology Officer, spoke today on the ‘Future Hospital Show’ stage with Clive Rumsey from InterSystems about cutting outpatient times and reducing admin.   The well-attended talk focused on how partner organisations can help Trusts validate waiting lists by using technology to deliver appointments more efficiently online and provide additional clinical capacity for on-site services.  Nevertheless, implementing new technology and processes from those partners can cause significant administrative hurdles, potentially negating all the benefit. Alex's session examined the issues and real-world efforts towards solving them.    Shelley Garlington John Dixon Dean Sharratt Katie Hurst Charles Byrne #GIANT2024 #HBSUK #VirtualLucy #HealthcareInnovation #OutpatientCare #DigitalHealth
