Providing long term, brain injury-specific rehabilitation and support throughout Nottingham's city and county.

About us

The long term brain injury support and rehabilitation day centre supporting people throughout Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. When brain injury strikes someone in Nottingham, resulting in debilitating physical and cognitive disabilities or behavioural problems, we can help equip people with the skills they need to achieve to their potential and live a life that is not defined by disability. Our Outreach Project supports people throughout our community with the practical implications of brain injury, including welfare advice and advocacy, housing and external service liaison. Where long term rehabilitation is required, we provide a comprehensive timetable of rehabilitation workshops to address the varied, complex and profound disabilities people struggle with everyday. Headway Nottingham is a small, local charity with a big remit. With someone in the UK admitted to hospital every 90 seconds following an acquired brain injury, our potential beneficiary group continues to grow. Anyone can make a referral to Headway Nottingham; health care professionals, social workers, carers, friends or the individual themselves. We're a friendly team and always happy to help. Headway Nottingham has been an 'Approved Provider of Day Services' for Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council Adult Social Care Departments since 2011. Affiliated to the national charity, Headway - the brain injury association, we adhere to the governance of 'Headway Standards', however do not receive funding from the national body or it's network of high-street shops. Headway Nottingham is separately registered with the Charities Commission of England and Wales (no. 1088685) with responsibility for our own fundraising and service delivery.
