We work with people and companies committed to responding sustainably to the current biodiversity and climate emergency
About us
Heal’s name is its mission: heal the land, heal nature, heal ourselves. Heal was set up in March 2022 to enable people and companies to do something tangible on the ground, in England, about ecological collapse and the climate emergency. When the UK Government called for the creation of half a million hectares of new wildlife-rich habitat, we saw an opportunity to create a not-for-profit which would act as a focus for raising money to buy land and give it back to nature. Aiming to create a rewilding site in every English county. We acquired our foundation rewilding site, Heal Somerset, in December 2022. Our current and future sites, are places where wildlife can thrive and people can reconnect with the natural world on which we all depend and improve their mental and physical health. By rewilding land, we are actively restoring soil fertility and managing the land in ways which will hold back floodwaters and stop top soils being lost. We are making use of the most powerful technology that exists on earth to reduce CO2 levels – plant photosynthesis. Involvement in rewilding through Heal is beneficial for companies in multiple ways: - Positive impact on brand and reputation - Good for employee acquisition, retention, engagement and mental health - Part of a sustainability strategy towards net zero carbon

Heal Live you beauty💜 Big thank you to everyone who joined us in London, Birmingham and York, from attendees to speakers to volunteers. It was so special to share our mission and progress at Heal Somerset with such passionate people. We love hosting Heal Live events and you lot seem to love them too. Birmingham marked the end of Heal Live for this year but we'll be back with more in 2025 so keep your eyes peeled! Tonight at 7pm Embercombe are hosting a free webinar for people who want to find out more about their Rewilding Training programme 🦫 Our Rewilding Ranger Daniel Hill has just completed the programme as part of the 2024 cohort and said: “What an amazing 9 months it’s been. Not only have I had first-class lectures and Q&A sessions from some of the leading individuals in the rewilding space but I’ve also connected with 50 other amazing up-and-coming rewilders. On top of all that, I’ve had 3 incredible residentials at Embercombe itself learning and sharing with the group and taking part in practical activities! Heal Live: London, what an event! 🤩 Wednesday evening we gathered in Conway Hall to talk about rewilding, our foundation site Heal Somerset and access to nature. It was amazing to be back in the same room we were in back in 2021 and reflect on how far we've come. Last time we held a Heal Live here we were barely over a year old and had yet to find our first rewilding site, now we're getting closer and closer to our fifth birthday and have had Heal Somerset for almost two years. One thing that's stayed the same though is that once again we were surrounded by wonderful supporters. We want to say a big thank you to everyone who came along, our inspiring speakers Jasmine Isa Qureshi and Elliot Newton, TCNUK for sponsoring the event, Thatchers Cider Company Ltd and Nexba for providing us with delicious drinks and our very own team for all the hard work they put into this event. Don't worry if you missed out on the London event, we're also headed to York and Birmingham next month for two more Heal Live events. More info and tickets can be found via our events page 👇 https://lnkd.in/e6wC9mbe #Rewilding #NatureRecovery #RewildingEvents #ClimateAction
