Last Thursday, Amir H. Kelishadi from Syneos Health Commercial Solutions attended the Common Year One: Professional Futures employer panel event at King's College London. The event aims to help King’s bioscience students explore the different career pathways their degree can lead to. Amir provided an overview of the healthcare communications sector, highlighting the impactful campaigns that help translate complex medical information into clear, accessible messages for diverse audiences. He emphasised the industry's growing demand for skilled communicators and their vital role in improving patient outcomes. Following his presentation, Amir joined a panel discussion with employers from pharma, research, and clinical trials. The panel explored early career opportunities and the key skills that first-year students can start developing to support their future careers. The session also featured an engaging Q&A, during which Amir answered questions from over 100 students. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to discover whether a career in healthcare communications could be right for them. Thanks to the King's Careers & Employability team for inviting us to the event and to Syneos Health Commercial Solutions and Amir H. Kelishadi for their continued support with our outreach work.
