Special thanks to the Charity Burning Nights CRPS Support, for inviting Healthsec Rehab to their conference and asking me to speak about Neurophysiotherapy . CRPS is not a condition I often encounter, but the similarities in its complexity and need for lifelong support and a holistic MDT approach are very similar. Challenges for us as clinicians, include helping individuals navigate Neuromodulation medical devices for Pain Management. Technological advances require us to delve deep into the physiology of symptoms, to really understand what effect a device has, and if it will suit our client. It is especially difficult when Pain Management clinics are limited across the UK. While Neuromodulation technologies for Pain is not my area of expertise, I can see how we need to support individuals vulnerable to a market they don't understand. It was a pleasure to meet Victoria Abbott-Fleming MBE and her team at Burning Nights, Dr Sumira Riaz (CPsychol), Rebecca Harrison (Nevro).
