Heel and Toe Children's Charity

A big thank you to the staff, children, and families of Durham Newton Hall Infants' School' for supporting Heel and Toe Children's Charity by hosting a recycled clothing bin in the school playground. Heel & Toe Children's Charity👣 is committed to improving the quality of life for children with physical disabilities and complex needs in the North East. We provide a range of essential therapies, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy. As we do not receive government funding, our charity relies entirely on income generated through fundraising efforts and the generous support of local businesses and individuals. To continue our vital work, we have launched a sustainable clothing recycling initiative, in partnership with Ecs Textiles Ltd. As part of this project, we are seeking to place our charity recycling bins at various locations across the region. These bins accept not only unwanted clothing but also toys and bric-a-brac, all of which are generously donated by the public to support our cause.  We currently have bins in local businesses, schools, and nurseries, and we would love to add your premises to our list of collection points. Recycling clothing through this initiative has a significant environmental impact by reducing waste, conserving resources, and lowering carbon emissions.
