The multi-award winning ‘buy one donate one’ social enterprise creating period equality in the UK.
About us
Hey Girls is an award-winning ‘buy one donate one’ period product social enterprise operating in the UK. A multi-million-pound community interest company, Hey Girls was initially established in 2018 by Celia Hodson and her two daughters Kate and Bec as a kitchen table start up after experiencing period poverty themselves. With 30+ employees, Hey Girls has grown into a UK wide operation. We are proud to be female-led and have celebrity supporters including Michael Sheen and Caitlin Moran. We supply a range of customers including corporates, universities, colleges, schools and councils who give away free products to their employees, students and people in local communities. We also sell to office supply companies, e-marketplaces, eco store owners and e-commerce buyers via our website. We’re good for you: we design our products with you in mind; concept and comfort are key We’re good for society: all profits go towards funding the fight for equal periods for everyone We’re good for nature: all our products are responsibly sourced and made from sustainable materials We’re good for equality: our core mission is to provide quality period products for everyone who needs it We’re good for change: we have donated millions of period products to vulnerable communities UK-wide Hey Girls period products are award-winning and so is the business. Crowned Virgin Scottish Startup Business on the Year in 2018 and One to Watch in the 2019 UK Social Enterprise Awards and Social Enterprise of the year 2022, Hey Girls’ commitment to sustainability and quality has been widely recognised. A better period for everyone.

Free period products on campus? YES 👏 We love to see Salford SU championing period dignity across their sites, with our Free Vends front and center of male, female and gender neutral toilets. Onboarding this inclusive initiative means that: 👉 Students needs are recognised and met, period products are an essential not a 'nice to have'. 👉 No student will ever be caught short on campus. 👉 More students are using our sustainable period products, with no hidden nasties. 👉 Period product donations have been generated as a result of our partnership, helping to create period equality in the UK. Way to go Salford SU! Keep us posted. Credit to Salford Student Union for this incredible video, we LOVE it! No free period products at your uni yet? Raise it with your SU and let's make it happen! b2b@heygirls.co.uk #University #PeriodDignity #PeriodEquality
