As many of you may already know, Ryan Thomas was rushed to the hospital on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, with a suspected heart attack. This terrifying situation escalated into a cardiac arrest, and for an hour, doctors fought relentlessly to save his life. Although they managed to stabilise him, the prognosis was incredibly bleak. In the days that followed, Ryan suffered a second heart attack, and further tests revealed that he had also experienced a stroke during the cardiac arrest. Ryan is not just a valued colleague at HH Business Finance; he is also a husband to Tors, a father to Teddie, and a beloved member of the rugby community, where he serves as Team Manager at Pontypool RFC. On January 29th 2025, 15 of his colleagues at HH Business Finance will embark on an 18-mile journey to Pontypool RFC to raise funds in support of Ryan's recovery. We are committed to raising as much as possible to contribute to his additional rehab and necessary home adaptations, enabling him to return home to Tors and Teddie as soon as possible. The team pushed through challenging conditions and terrain on an 18-mile walk from HH Business Finance to Pontypool RFC. When we arrived at Pontypool Park, we were met with incredible warmth and hospitality, making it clear why Ryan holds the club so close to his heart. Being welcomed by his family, friends, and members of Pontypool RFC -alongside Graham Price, a legend of Pontypool RFC who played for the British and Irish Lions no less than 12 times - was a lovely way to cross the finish line. The journey was about more than just the walk - it was about showing Ryan how much he means to all of us.
