#IET Powering Net Zero 2nd conference kicking off with a panel, including a very interesting question on Hydrogen. Stuart Dawson advocated for hydrogen where electrification isn't possible, and Weisheng Wang highlighted hydrogen for balancing and storage of the grid. Josey Wardle talked about a hydrogen for transport hub demonstrator, and a heavy freight demonstrator programme which includes hydrogen trials. Mark Lissimore talked about the need for multiple solutions in the transition to net zero, and that there is important planning and coordination to benefit from synergies between power and hydrogen.

A huge thank you to all of our HI-ACT colleagues who joined us at Imperial College London for our "All-Hands" meeting yesterday. We had a full packed agenda, with lots of opportunities for presentations, conversations and collaborations. We even took full advantage of the beautiful sunny weather in London, and enjoyed a lunch time walk. Thank you to all who travelled and took the time to be part of this important meeting. #HI-ACT #HI-ACTTEAM #Hydrogen
