Lessons Learnt: Pioneering CAV mobility in the Highlands and Islands 🚌
Join us at The Hothouse in the Adam Smith Building, University of Glasgow, for an exciting in-person event where industry experts, local stakeholders, and innovators discuss their experiences exploring the potential for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) to extend mobility in the Scottish Highlands and Islands.
Learn from their experience addressing transport challenges in rural Scotland through a UKRI and CCAV-funded project focused on how a CAV service can improve access for underserved groups, reduce emissions, and enhance community engagement while applying the Responsible Innovation Framework to ensure social and financial feasibility.
This gathering will include presentations on global trends, local trials, and practical case studies. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities for CAV commercialisation. Finally, an interactive brainstorming session will encourage participants to contribute their perspectives, helping to shape a responsible and impactful roadmap for CAV deployment in the region.
