Hogan's Cider reposted this
This really chimes with our experience at Hogan's Cider in recent years Marcos Salazar 🍺🍷🥃, and is a big part of the reason we opted to include our own low alcohol cider 'High Sobriety' (1% abv) in some recent trade promotional activity on our Mulled cider. 📈 High Sobriety is now our best selling bottled product, accounting for almost 1 in 5 bottles sold in the last year (Dec23-Nov24). 📆 We've been making it for over 7 years, in response to our own desire to be able to enjoy a good quality low/no cider that actually still tasted like a proper cider. 👨🍳 We're incredibly proud of what Shaun and the team have achieved with the recipe, and are hard at work on further low/no product development this winter. Watch this space! 👀 🎯 We expect to see continued growth in the low/no cider category, in particular among our own core demographic, which is closely aligned with that of craft beer where low/no has become a significant area of focus for a lot of our friends and partners such as Thornbridge Brewery, NORTHERN MONK and Tiny Rebel. Want to give High Sobriety a go? Trade customers can order or request via one of our Wholesale partners: James Clay and Sons, New Wave, Inn Express Independent Wholesale Drinks Supplier or PIGS EARS BEERS LIMITED. You can order direct via our trade store on Sellar using this link: https://lnkd.in/dK3arm_H And if you or your friends and family are moderating this Christmas, you can find High Sobriety in loads of fantastic independent retailers around the country, or you can order direct from our B2C web shop: https://lnkd.in/d6qRG8NX Cheers! 🍎

🎄 #DryChristmas" is on the rise with nearly 50% of young Brits cutting back on booze! New data from Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I is showing that 78% of 18-25 year olds plan to have a Dry Christmas, compared to 6% of Baby Boomers. The motivation behind this trend includes a healthier lifestyle, financial mindfulness, and the empowerment of making personal choices. In addition: 🍾 25% expressed a preference for moderating their drinking with no/low options at work Christmas parties, a figure that rises to 35% among the youngest workers 🍺 64% of adults are interested in reducing alcohol intake in the long term 🍷 55% think the quality of these drinks have been improved over the past five years. Brian Perkins, president of Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I, who commissioned the research, commented: "Moderation is no longer limited to awareness months and days, it is now part of our everyday lives." "Efforts to moderate in January have been brought forward into the festive period, and throughout the rest of the year, as we see more people choosing no-and-low alcohol alternatives as their drink of choice." "What's even more positive, is that moderation isn't impacting people's enjoyment, in fact these results reaffirm that we can and do still enjoy ourselves just as much." 🔗 Link to original article in the comments.
