In two weeks leading UK CIOs will get the chance to meet the teams at HoloMem and Umbra Systems Ltd, two UK companies with breakthrough technologies to transform digital storage. Charlie Gale CEO of HoloMem will be talking about their optical holographic storage breakthrough that promises to provide a big step forward in permanent storage of data, with lower carbon emissions and higher storage densities. Edward French from Umbra will be showing how their new cloud object storage technology uses unique maths to provide cloud storage will true 3-fault tolerance and undecryptability, achieving a new level of resiliency and security. The discussion will be moderated by Brian Roche whose both provided and commissioned storage for demanding applications and is on a crusade to make IT less of an environmental burden.
