In two weeks leading UK CIOs will get the chance to meet the teams at HoloMem and Umbra Systems Ltd, two UK companies with breakthrough technologies to transform digital storage. Charlie Gale CEO of HoloMem will be talking about their optical holographic storage breakthrough that promises to provide a big step forward in permanent storage of data, with lower carbon emissions and higher storage densities. Edward French from Umbra will be showing how their new cloud object storage technology uses unique maths to provide cloud storage will true 3-fault tolerance and undecryptability, achieving a new level of resiliency and security. The discussion will be moderated by Brian Roche whose both provided and commissioned storage for demanding applications and is on a crusade to make IT less of an environmental burden. Those attending as part of the UK IT Leaders event will be able to join the event via rsvpify. Please feel free to contact us if you want any pointers. Many thanks to UK IT Leaders for this opportunity.

Founder & CEO of HoloMem | Founder & CEO of H010

When I co-founded HoloMem in 2020 we had the vision of producing an ultra-low energy and cost efficient archival data storage solution. It was a fairly lofty ambition; many a behemoth had already tried and failed and we weren't sure we'd even make a dent on what had come before us. Fast forward 4 years and I'm delighted to say HoloMem is well on it's way to achieving a ready to market holographic drive which will dramatically reduce energy consumption in one of the most resource intensive industries globally. In what I hope is a sign of good things to come I'm immensely proud of to say HoloMem has just graduated from the latest Intel Ignite accelerator cohort - we couldn't have got as far as we have without incredible individuals contributing amazing feats of engineering, creativity and ethereal witchcraft, and I'd invite anyone with similar world-changing ambitions to come and join us. Have an amazing weekend all.
