HR Director's Cut

Human Resources

A podcast where we discuss YOUR conundrums, dilemma's and questions...

About us

Welcome to HR Director's Cut - the podcast where we give our insight into your dilemmas, conundrums and questions. We've found that there are plenty of dry advice podcasts and forums that give advice, but they are often lacking into the thought process behind what works and what doesn't. Savvy HR leaders should be weighing up risks, maintaining the vision of the business and most of all looking after the employees at all levels - and it's not an easy job! We are here to give options, insights and guidance through sharing what works, what we've tried and failed at, and having some fun along the way. You can submit your questions using the website link and the juiciest ones will be read out during each season. Don't forget to subscribe or follow us on your podcast platform of choice so you don't miss an episode. Please share and review the show too - we'll plant a tree for every review we receive

Have you ever gone into a conversation without knowing how someone will react? It’s scary, right? Now, imagine how confident you or the managers in your company would feel if you could simulate your unique scenarios, experiment with your approach, and get instant feedback and guidance from HR experts - that are also trained actors. I will shortly be launching impACT, a safe space for people to practise difficult conversations, at the time they ACTUALLY need it. But to make it most excellent, I’m looking for enthusiastic individuals that are leaders or support leaders (HR peeps, I’m looking at you!) to join me for an hour on: ⭐️24 July 2024 at 12 PM⭐️ to help me learn more about the kind of situations you face and whether this service will work for you. 🎉 Bonus: Participants will be first in line for a free beta session for their company! 😍 Double Bonus: If I get more than 10 attendees, I will run a free online leadership training sesh for each of you to put an attendee of your choice on (or you can come yourself!). 😎Triple Bonus: I will be using Butter 🧈 platform, which totally trumps boring Zoom. Interested? Drop me a message or comment below! ⬇️ here’s one of my recent acting headshots. I’m going for ‘I’m really sorry I missed the deadline again, I might cry to make my manager stop giving me feedback’. Have I nailed it?!

  • What's your favourite Lisa moment? Ours is when she girl bossed too hard and let out an accidental f-bomb in The One With The Drunken Mistake. Or maybe it's the time she went on a rant about finance directors in The One Where Energy Levels Are Low. No, scratch that: reverse it. It's definitely when she painted a great picture of being lost in a forest and not knowing where to turn in The One Where We Struggle to Be Perfect. "With the news that sick days in organisations are at 10 year record highs, many organisations are now looking at their approach to wellbeing to try and beat the trends. But bringing in fruit boxes and sharing an online app isn’t likely to do the trick if the foundations aren’t in place. Wellbeing is often a layered strategy, it starts with physical safety. Do people feel physically safe and comfortable in the workplace? Are their basic needs being met? What about physiological safety do people feel safe from that perspective? Here is often where diversity, inclusion, belonging and employee voice comes in and it becomes more cultural than material. At Ten Space, we work with businesses to understand where they are right now, by asking for employee feedback on these topics. We’re helping to make sure the solid foundations are in place to build upon. So that the fruit boxes and online apps, are adding the value and having the impact that they should do and that spend isn’t going to waste. Let us know if we can help!" - Victoria Bond, CEO #employeesurveys #employeeengagement #employeefeedback #hr
