Enabling data scientists to access and analyse RWD - instant scientifically validated RWE, with Livingstone
About us
Welcome to Human Data Sciences (HDS) on LinkedIn. We are research scientists that developed a platform for the speedy, automated analysis of complex routine patient data. The HDS team recognised the challenges of accessing the right data, and analysing that data at speed in a scientifically validated way, many years ago. To address these problems the team designed and built Livingstone®, a unique, advanced health data analytics platform that delivers real-world evidence (RWE) insights, in near real-time. To whet your appetite in demonstrating what Livingstone can do, we launched a first-in-class website that presents prevalence data for the complete ICD-10 Taxonomy. See www.PrevalenceUK.com. Today, HDS offer two services: Livingstone as a Managed Service As a managed service, the HDS research team work as an extension of your team and will expedite studies for you. Livingstone facilitates insights at speed, a study that typically could take many months can be completed in minutes. Livingstone as a managed service enables our clients to analyse CPRD anonymised data from a network of GP practices across the UK. The data encompass 60 million patients, including 18 million currently registered patients. Livingstone as Saas Livingstone is data agnostic. Whilst the platform was developed using CPRD data, Livingstone analyses routine patient data from many sources. Livingstone as Saas gives organisations the ability to analyse their datasets in a scientifically validated way, and at speed. It means research scientists can secure insights every day, and collaborate across the enterprise. This in turn saves time, and money. Human Data Sciences' work with the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, government, healthcare providers, regulators and the NHS. Looking forward to our next meeting. It is humbling and heartening to see the UK governments' commitment to rare disease, with sole intention that those affected are not left behind in diagnosis and care. The UK has strived in rare disease policy (Ince.O & Gure.M.D.P, 2021) and our community and charitable organisations' faithfulness to support rare disease over decades. It is far from perfect with a journey ahead. The co-leads and collaborators' conviction to continue to improve care for adults and children affected is inspiring to be part of, to improve the environment for rare disease. "RareCare is co-led by Consilium Scientific and Realise Advocacy, with support from Coventry University and Human Data Sciences. We are delighted to be working with 8 Patient Advocacy Groups to ensure that the rare disease community are represented in this work. RareCare will help decision-makers to improve how the National Health Service (NHS) and other services support people living with rare diseases. Our research will generate practical outputs for individuals and families, carers, and service providers." The wider societal benefits of contributing to health data, and affording research scientists low friction access to health data, are simply many-fold.
The #NHS is facing long waits, poor outcomes and record-low rates of public satisfaction. Investing in technology may not seem like the priority but without it, nothing will change. Globally, Digital Health Records (DHRs) are fast becoming the foundational building block of all modern health systems, changing the way we generate health and consume healthcare in the AI era. By embracing a DHR, the #NHS can be prepared for the #AI era – enabling patients and clinicians to take advantage of cutting-edge developments in digital technology, pharma and biotech, and AI as they emerge. Learn more about why we’re advocating for a DHR from Dr Charlotte Refsum, Adam Bradshaw, Oliver Large and Darcy Ward: https://bit.ly/4dQ8oLP #healthcare #NHS #GPs #innovation #technology
