  • Celebrating Local Partnerships 🤝 While we didn’t take home the Partnership of the Year award at the Doncaster Business Awards this year, we were thrilled to be part of this inspiring event, connecting with local partners and getting to know more businesses from across the region. Our collaboration with our partners such as the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) continues to drive innovation and strengthen South Yorkshire’s green aerospace cluster. Being among so many incredible businesses reaffirms the vital role partnerships play in building a sustainable future. A big thank you to the Doncaster Chamber for hosting such a fantastic evening and congratulations to all the winners and finalists! #Partnerships #Airlander #DoncasterBusinessAwards #Collaboration #Innovation #Sustainability #SouthYorkshire

  • 📍 Welcoming Local Support at HAV HQ We had the pleasure of hosting Bedford and Kempston MP, Mohammad Yasin MP, at Hybrid Air Vehicles HQ. We’re thrilled to have the support of our local MP, who shares our enthusiasm for the innovation happening right here in the region. During his visit, Mohammad Yasin engaged with our team, stepped into the flight test simulator alongside one of our engineers, and gained insights into Airlander’s potential to transform aviation. We’re excited for him to champion Hybrid Air Vehicles and our vision in Parliament, helping to drive conversations around sustainable aviation and transformative innovation. #Innovation #SustainableAviation #LocalSupport #Airlander #RethinkTheSkies

  • As we look towards the future of aviation, one thing is clear: it’s not just going to be about flying higher or faster. It has to be about making aviation sustainable and accessible for all. The industry is at a pivotal moment, where the decisions we make today will shape the way we travel tomorrow.   Consumer perceptions are changing and a recent report by Skift Research found that 92% of consumers are willing to pay more for a sustainable airline trip. Our CEO recently posted about his three top insights from the Skift State of Travel report. Have a look below 👇. Give him a follow for more industry insight like this in your LinkedIn feed.   #RethinkTheSkies #StateOfTravel #SustainableAviation #FutureOfTransport

Curious about who's trying to get from any A to any B via any mode of transport, and where they're staying when they get there? Here is a treasure trove of travel industry analysis from Skift Research State of Travel 2024 report. Three trends I spotted from my read through: Travel's growth path looks different after covid Asia is the market to watch: demand from India is surging (outbound travel compound annual growth rate 17%) and is now the fastest growing source of international arrivals for the USA. China's international departures are still below 2019 levels but forecast to grow fast. Seven of the world's top 10 international flight routes were in Asia Pacific last year. The centre of gravity of the travel industry is shifting east, and south. It’s all about the experience Quoting Brian Chesky - CEO of Airbnb: "I think there's a $100bn company that can be launched just doing experiences". 74% of travellers surveyed said that experiences have a moderate to huge impact on shaping their trips, and nearly 80% of millennials and Gen Z prioritise meaningful experiences even at the expense of daily conveniences. Social media - especially visuals, drive inspiration and travel choices for those meaningful trips to be created. Airlines have work to do on this: there's a 33% gap between passenger expectations and their experience of flight. We'll pay more to travel sustainably Business travel seems to be adapting to sustainability concerns already - fewer trips and more investment in sustainable choices. But the rise of remote work means we're all taking more leisure trips, because we can work online while we're there. Happily, consumers want to choose sustainable travel options: 92% are willing to pay more for a sustainable airline trip and over 30% (rising to 71% in India) will do so even if it causes inconvenience. But with "SAF" uptake still low, worsening reputation of offsets, and no hydrogen yet - are they able to spend their money wisely? Emerging markets; demand for meaningful experiences; willingness to pay more for sustainable options; and a gap between expectation and reality for the airline traveller. The aerospace industry must keep pushing innovation so we can all #travelbetter. How do you see these trends having an impact on the way we travel? • As one of the backbones of international trade, the logistics industry worldwide was worth over 8.4 trillion euros in 2021 and is expected to exceed 13.7 trillion euros by 2027. 🌍 - Statista To sustain this growth, innovative solutions like Airlander are essential. With its ultra-low emissions, heavy-lift capability, Airlander enables point-to-point transport of large cargo to remote locations without relying on conventional infrastructure. This aircraft also allows for the decoupling of transportation growth from growth in emissions, offering a more sustainable pathway for the logistics sector, while enhancing global supply chain efficiency. #Airlander #SustainableLogistics #HeavyLift #EcoInnovation #Decarbonisation #FutureOfTransport

  • 📊 In 2023, the Jeju-Seoul route in South Korea was the most travelled air route globally, with over 43,000 flights. Currently, short-haul flights (like the 450km Jeju-Seoul route) contribute to 54% of civil aviation’s CO2 emissions. 🚨 It’s easy to overlook the environmental cost of these frequent, short-haul flights. But as we look at the data, we see just how significant their contribution is to aviation's carbon footprint. In fact, nearly all of the top 10 most frequently flown routes are short-haul.   With aviation’s impact on climate change under growing scrutiny, it’s clear that the industry needs a shift. A mix of sustainable solutions, including hybrid-electric and zero-emission aircraft, will be essential in reducing the sector’s carbon footprint and making regional air travel truly sustainable.   Read more: https://lnkd.in/eKWweyeF   #SustainableAviation #AviationInnovation #ZeroEmissions #GreenTech #ClimateAction #RegionalTravel
