Why are we at Hydrogen Utopia International PLC not shocked to see the BBC News BBC documentary available on #BBCIPLAYER on illegal dumping of #waste and #WasteCrime on our green and pleasant land? Well - we have an official #Population fast approaching 70 million in the UK, with an additional tourist population of 30 million per annum. This generates huge amounts of #waste of all types, including #plastics, and other #MunicipalSolidWaste #Chemical #Medical and other types of #HazardousWaste. Stats for #Waste that can feasibly be measured (as it is processed via the #LocalAuthority): 🗑️ The UK produces more than 190 million tonnes of waste every year 🗑️Around 13.1 million tonnes of waste is sent to landfills in the UK annually 🗑️Current household recycling rates are only 44.1% in the UK leaving much dumped in landfill or incinerated 🗑️More than 40 million tonnes of commercial and industrial waste are generated in the UK each year 🗑️Only 64% of packaging waste is recycled across the UK #Flytipping by individuals remains a problem, and the local authorities do not make it easy for those without private cars, and with limited funds/on a #LowIncome, to legally dump the waste that is not taken away in their bins. Some households and businesses may pay a private company to take their waste away, if they cannot get it to a municipal waste processing plant themselves. They may not have the patience/time to advance book a slot, then handle their rubbish themselves, piece by piece out of the back of their vehicle. This carries a high risk of waste ending up in the hands of the unscrupulous, and being dumped illegally. We at Hydrogen Utopia International PLC believe that there MUST be more investment into #WasteManagement in the UK and Europe, and that were processes simplified for the public and for industry and commerce, there would be less opportunity for criminals to operate in the waste disposal sector. The answer could lie in local hubs for not only collecting and disposing of waste, in a more simplified, seamless and efficient manner, but also for the #sustainable remediation of such waste, either on site, or nearby. Waste like non-#recyclable #plastics can be turned into energy, such as #hydrogen and #syngas. Green waste and #MSW can equally be transformed into energy. This can be achieved with #CleanTechnology available today, if it is invested in, and properly deployed across the country. Many systems are sealed, so that they do not cause air pollution, and benefit from the latest in #gasification #technology and expertise. We can ensure that communities actually profit from their waste by having it turned it into #energy, if more facilities, working in concert with municipal dumps, are built. Mr Solowow is absolutely right, unfortunately. Compare the energy prices between Poland and Scandinavia, who have figured it out. But our problem is completely different. The beurocracy, permitting, neverending wars with civil servants killed many phenomenal companies with phenomenal future potential. Net zero objectives are not killed by people like Trump, they are suffocated by our European governments. The only way out is producing distributed energy which is not base load, which means not reliant on sun or wind. It all depends on the country, region etc, but there are ways not to face blackouts. Killing ourselves with #plasticpollution: Scientists are shocked at finding a spoonful of #microplastics in a typical human brain, and so are we. Hydrogen Utopia International PLC had previously highlighted that #microplastic has made its insidious way into arteries, hearts, lungs, blood, placentas, breast milk, and testicles. But the blood-brain barrier was previously deemed to be able to keep #plastic contamination out of such a crucial piece of apparatus. According to research published on Monday in the journal Nature Medicine the number of miniscule bits of plastic found in human brains increased radically between 2016 and 2024. Tragically, and indeed, ominously, the highest amounts of plastic tracked in the brains examined, were found in the brains of #dementia sufferers. Now that is something to think about, a scientists on the case are investigating this element further to determine of the new found phenomenon of 'plastics on the brain' could be a cause of dementia, or a result, based on the weakened brain function that comes from the disease. Dr. Matthew Campen, a toxicologist and professor of pharmaceutical sciences at the University of New Mexico, who led the reported study, says of microplastics "They really are everywhere," He added that he didn't think people could mitigate against being themselves contaminated by altering their diet or lifestyle as they would be fruitlessly trying "to avoid something that may not be avoidable." The amount of plastic in the environment is doubling about every 10 to 15 years. It's finding its way into our oceans, waterways, air, soil water, and food chain.
