Last week members of our UK BESS team met up with colleagues from our Headquarters to carry out specific equipment training hosted by CATL in Paris. We are pleased to congratulate all Hyosung employees that attended the training in successfully attaining the CATL L2 license. We are especially proud to celebrate that our LTSA manager Dimitrios Gkogkos attained the highest marks on the course. At Hyosung we believe having this in depth knowledge and experience is key to living "The Hyosung Way" and ensure we can provide the best knowledge and expertise possible for the equipment we provide.

Here at Hyosung Heavy Industries we have a colourful history dating all the way back to the 1960’s. Our achievements aren’t solely based in Korea and the UK Team understands and continues to drive this sense of innovation in everything we do! Below are some of the more recent achievements that make us proud to be a part of the Hyosung heavy Industries team in the UK 🌟 Hyosung Heavy Industries: Pioneering Innovation and Sustainability 🌟 ⚡️ 2023: Delivered a significant shunt reactor to the National Grid’s Melksham substation weighing 131 tonnes and measuring over seven meters long and almost four meters high, as part of Hyosung’s ongoing efforts to support the UK’s energy infrastructure and ensure reliable electricity supply. Signed an MOA with INNIO Jenbacher for the Hydrogen Engine Generator Demonstration Project and established our European R&D Center in the Netherlands. 🏆2022: Launched the ARMOUR power facility asset management solution, winning the Grand Prize at the 6th Management Competition for the 4th Industrial Revolution. We also signed a large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) supply contract with ESKOM in South Africa. 🔋 2021: Selected as the provider for a major transmission-connected battery project in the UK. This project marked Hyosung’s first transmission-connected battery deployment in the UK, following their successful global deployment of 1.8 GWh. Continued to help with National Grid upgrades and security of supply through our transformer equipment. 🚀 Partnered with Busan Metropolitan Government and Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) to foster the liquefied hydrogen industrial ecosystem in Busan. Our Changwon Plant Test Lab received certification from the International Authorized Testing Agency (KOLAS). 🌱 2020: Built Korea’s first liquefied hydrogen station in Samcheok and signed the MVDC, LVDC construction project contract for the first time in Korea. 🏆 2019: Completed a hydrogen energy station at the National Assembly in Yeouido and joined the Hydrogen Energy Network (HyNet).
