Today is Carbon Removal Day. We have much work to do to stabilise our climate. We need to work harder and faster to reduce carbon emissions, but that is not enough. We must also remove 10Gt of carbon every year to keep temperatures from reaching dangerous levels and avoid tipping points! We have the solutions; we need the scale and collective action. It can be done! HyveGeo is at the forefront of this mission. We are committed to removing 1Gt of carbon and regenerating 10,000 hectares of desert land using biochar and microalgae. We aim to mitigate the effects of climate change and improve food security. Biochar can capture as much as 70% of carbon from biomass, and when buried, it can stay in the ground for hundreds or even thousands of years.
