  • ⏳ The OFGEM consultation on a potential debt relief scheme for energy customers closes on 6th February. With consumer energy debt at record levels, this initiative could provide much-needed financial support to customers.  However, one of the biggest challenges for suppliers is the lack of field activity over the past two years, following the suspension of PPM force-fitting.  This has led to unprecedented numbers of unidentified change of tenancies (COTs), creating a major backlog in supplier debt books that requires urgent clean-up. At IDenteq, we help suppliers tackle this challenge head-on. Our residential debt modules offer: ✅ Proactive Monitoring – Alerts for occupier changes using multiple data sources, including Experian. ✅ Pay-As-You-Go Model – Only pay when purchasing a new customer record, with no charge for residency confirmations—making it an ultra-cost-effective approach. ✅ Affordability Assessments – Partnering with Experian to provide household-level insights into who can and can’t afford to pay. All data can be integrated straight into the Billing or CRM system to trigger automation or workflow. Clients using the COT Portal have achieved outstanding results, enhancing their processes and driving efficiency. • Occupier billing is a significant challenge for energy companies, often driving debt and requiring costly, resource-heavy processes to identify who’s living in a property. With the sheer volume of house moves in the energy sector, conducting regular site visits for every vacant property is impractical. That’s where reliable data becomes essential. The COT Portal is the market-leading solution for efficient occupier account management. Designed in collaboration with residential utility companies, it enables swift and accurate occupier identification. Key benefits of the COT Portal include: 🏠 Multiple Data Sources: Access Credit Reference Agency, BT OSIS, Council Tax, Benefits, Land Registry, BNPL, Sub-Prime Lending, and Vulnerability data — all in one platform. 🏠 Proactive Monitoring: Receive alerts when new occupiers move into your properties. 🏠 Cost Efficiency: Benefit from economies of scale using our pre-negotiated data contracts and minimum commitments 🏠 Clear ROI: No charges for unsuccessful searches, ensuring every pound spent delivers measurable value. Clients using the COT Portal have achieved outstanding results, enhancing their processes and driving efficiency.
