We are thrilled to be joining the most ambitious transnational Neurodegenerative Study named Bio-Hermes-002, led by Global Alzheimer's Platform Foundation, having secured a £1.2M (~$1.5M) contract from Innovate UK Contracts for Innovation to deploy our Optomics® platform in the groundbreaking Bio-Hermes-002 study 🚀💊 This international research, conducted by Global Alzheimer's Platform Foundation, aims to revolutionize Alzheimer's diagnosis and treatment by evaluating digital and blood-based biomarkers in over 1,000 participants across the US 🇺🇸, Canada 🇨🇦, and the UK 🇬🇧. The Global Alzheimer's Platform Foundation is a US patient-centric institution, partnering with  leading philanthropic organizations like Gates Ventures or industry partners such as Roche, to Janssen Inc. or Eli Lilly and Company to accelerate the delivery of innovative therapies for neurological disorders. As part of the study, iLoF will be deploying iLoF’s breakthrough Optomics® platform, its AI-powered technology that combines photonics and multimodal data analysis, providing rapid, non-invasive, and cost-effective screening. In this international expansion, iLoF's US operation will be supported by Luminate Accelerator — the world's largest accelerator for startups specializing in optics, providing strategic capital and access to state-of-the-art lab facilities in Rochester, further advancing the platform deployed in the study. Nanocarriers (NCs) hold incredible promise for targeted drug delivery, offering precise targeting and controlled release to enhance drug efficacy while reducing toxicity. But their clinical potential is held back by challenges in characterizing these complex systems.
