Meet Max Greaves, our dedicated Stock Inventory Analyst who’s been with us since 2019! Besides keeping our inventory in top shape, Max also plays for Durkar FC - a team we proudly sponsor - and he’s a key player on our own 5-a-side team, IMEX MILAN. Here’s a little more about Max, both on and off the field!
Work-Related Q&A:
What do you enjoy most about being a Stock Inventory Analyst? "It might sound sad, but I enjoy the variety of the role. Some tasks are more frustrating than others, but it’s nice knowing that I’m not doing the same monotonous thing all the time."
How has your role evolved since you joined in 2019? "When I started, I was mainly focused on analysis work. Over the years, I've become more involved in different aspects of procurement, from ordering stock to managing warranties. I enjoy knowing that no two days are the same!"
Personal Q&A:
What inspired you to play for Durkar FC? "My mate’s dad was the manager, so I was guaranteed a game! Seriously though, the group of lads is fantastic, which made the decision to play for Durkar very easy."
What’s your proudest moment on the football field? "Winning two cups with Durkar a few years back. We're hoping to repeat - or exceed - that success this season!"
Do you have any pre-game rituals? "Before every game, I spend a few minutes wondering why I’m so unfit during the warm-up! Other than that, no set routines."
Fun Facts:
What’s something your colleagues might not know about you? "Most don’t know I speak British Sign Language fluently. I’m also learning Portuguese and will be tackling Spanish next year. Plus, I’m learning to play piano, specifically ‘A Little Respect’ by Erasure, which is undoubtedly the greatest song ever."
If you could switch jobs with anyone for a day, who would it be and why? "Probably Jeff Bezos - mainly for the pay packet!"
