Yesterday Incisive Health convened women’s health policy, clinical and patient experts at a breakfast event exploring how we can “find the balance” in NHS menopause care. Attendees reflected on progress made since the publication of the 2022 Women’s Health Strategy, and considered the steps the new government can take to improve the experiences of women from all communities as they navigate the menopause. Key topics of discussion included: 🤝 The importance of join-up between different parts of the health system, at key touchpoints - particularly for women experiencing surgically-induced early menopause ℹ️ How we can provide information about menopause, at the right time - and the potential role of technology and AI 🧩 Opportunities to strengthen the ongoing national roll-out of Women’s Health Hubs to fulfil their potential to provide holistic and individualised menopause care Thank you to all attendees for joining a positive and productive discussion, and particularly to Janet Barter, President of the FSRH - Faculty of sexual and reproductive healthcare for skilfully chairing the event, and to Shireen Noor for joining the expert panel to highlight the importance of understanding cultural, religious and psychological perspectives of menopause, alongside our own Laura Tantum. Watch this space for a blog outlining headline themes from the discussion in further detail, and attendees’ recommendations for the new government. In the meantime, reach out to womenshealth@incisivehealth.com to find out more about our women’s health expertise, across our UK and international practices.

🇪🇺Incisive Health is attending the European Cancer Summit 2024, organised by European Cancer Organisation. This event brings together distinguished experts, policymakers, and advocates to address key challenges in cancer care, including prevention, early detection, screening, and critical topics like the healthcare workforce, health systems, and the future of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan. 💬 At the opening session, "United Against Cancer Inequalities: Forging Fair Cancer Outcomes for All”, health inequalities took center stage, with a strong focus on gender disparities and advancing women’s health. A key highlight is the presentation of ECO’s paper on Women and Cancer, which calls for: • Expanding free HPV vaccinations and access to breast and gynecological cancer screening. • Ensuring harmonised cancer care standards across Europe. • Supporting women caregivers through better policies and flexible work arrangements. • Promoting gender equity in health systems and clinical trials. 🤝 Curious to learn more? 🇪🇺 A few days after the event, and after taking time to digest the discussions and the insights shared, one thing is clear: collaboration and commitment are driving us closer to a future where Precision Oncology is accessible to all across Europe.   A huge thank you to EFPIA - European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations, EUREGHA - European Regional and Local Health Authorities, and the Committee of the Regions for hosting such an impactful event, and to all the stakeholders who contributed to shaping this crucial conversation.   Key takeaways from the event: 1. Breaking barriers to access: addressing challenges like reimbursement and infrastructure gaps is essential to make personalised cancer care a reality for all. 2. The power of collaboration: regions and local authorities are at the heart of implementing innovative solutions, advancing health systems, and improving outcomes. 3. Policy and practice: a robust legislative framework and sustained funding will be critical to support precision medicine’s integration into healthcare systems. 4. Data and innovation: EU-wide initiatives are paving the way for better use of data and cutting-edge research to drive progress in personalised medicine.   At Incisive Health, we’re proud to have supported this event and played a role in fostering collaboration and dialogue. Now, it’s up to all of us to build on these insights and translate them into meaningful action. Together, we can ensure that precision oncology continues to advance across the EU, improving outcomes for patients everywhere.   Let’s keep the momentum going!
