We’re excited to launch our 2023/24 Impact Report for Central London’s Work and Health Programme (WHP) and Pioneer services. Our Central London Works celebration event hosts the launch with over 80 senior officials, local councils, employability professionals, and community partners coming together to celebrate the incredible achievements of local collaboration to help people overcome barriers to work and find meaningful employment. The impact report highlights the success of WHP Pioneer and the Individual Placement and Support model which has helped more than 4,401 Londoners secure employment! 👏 We were privileged to be joined by some of our customers including Army veteran, Francis, who praised the service for “incredible support” in his transition back to work. Saying how it made him “finally feel useful, valued, again.” Thank you to all out partners, including Hackney Foodbank and Goldstar Creative Marketing for supporting today’s event, it was truly a demonstration of powerful partnerships in action making a real difference in our community. ✋ “The word ‘can’t’ has to be removed from your vocabulary.” On this #InternationalDayOfPeopleWithDisabilities, that’s the advice Neelma, one of our case workers on the Central London Works Work and Health Programme, has for those with health conditions struggling to achieve a fulfilling career. The day aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and to advocate creating inclusive environments. 👉 After becoming profoundly deaf due to a childhood accident, Neelma has never let her hearing loss define her or get in her way. From the start, we provided Neelma with the necessary support, including British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters, to ensure she could perform at her best and arranged additional support when needed ✅ Neelma shares: "When I joined Ingeus, my first manager asked me what I needed and didn’t make any assumptions. It gave me an opportunity to explain everything and feel catered for straight away." Her passion for supporting people with disabilities is helping jobseekers to rebuild their lives https://ow.ly/vIZ750Uj978 Ingeus are proud to support thousands of people with health conditions and/or disabilities as many face barriers whilst looking for employment due to misconceptions about their abilities, and some people may not know this support is available. It’s important to help raise awareness of this through days like #IDPWD and demonstrate the value and diverse perspectives persons with disabilities can bring to the workplace.
