Where Does Innovation Go to Scale? As I settled in our Inizio London office for a day of meetings, I looked out the window and saw a building with this fading sign atop the 5th floor. I was intrigued, so with a quick internet search, I learned that in 1885 this building was the patent office for greater London with its then population of 4.5M citizens. Innovation was brought to this building to register an idea and begin to cause it to grow. This week I am in town for the Jefferies London Healthcare Conference 2024, with the parallel that innovation in biopharma is now going to forums such as this where inventor meets financier to secure the capital required to advance human health through new medications. That progression requires a lot of steps, with proper asset curation at multiple pivotal moments along the way. #Inizio was created as a commercialization platform to assist innovators to scale, and I have the privilege of hearing company narratives over the next 3 days while proactively looking for opportunities to contribute across our capabilities from early development through to the market across our global footprint. In the realm of biopharma, innovation is not just a goal; it is our imperative. Each breakthrough fuels the hope of patients, transforming science into life-changing therapies. Much like innovation was pushed at the patent office in 1885 London, let’s push the boundaries of possibility together and #ReimagineHealth.
